My heart stopped and I half closed my eyes like he just said something I didn’t know about, or like he had said what he said in another language.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, trying to make sure my voice stayed calm.
He shook his head lightly. “Don’t act like nothing happened Izzy.”
My stomach turned. I tried to fake a smile, and then I said. “Nothing happened. I don’t have an idea of what you’re—“
