Izzy’s POV I walked to the roadside with a very heavy heart. Every step I took felt difficult. It felt like a rock was tied to my leg, and I was dragging it as I walked. My chest was tight and my mind was loud, but my lips said nothing. I couldn’t speak, I didn’t even know what to say. Then a taxi thankfully stopped in front of me. I entered inside and the driver didn’t ask me anything, like he already knew where I was going. I was so glad he didn’t ask because if I even tried to speak, I would break down in tears, and I didn’t want that. Right now, I wanted to believe I was done crying; I wanted to be the strong girl I promised myself to be. My throat felt like it was burning, and my eyes were hurting, but I held it back.
