The smile on my lips immediately fell, because peace never lasted, and even if it did, it was not for people like me.
My jaw tightened, and I typed on my screen so hard I thought I was going to break it. “Don’t try to play with me, Serena.”
She replied as soon as my message delivered, like she was waiting for me. “I’m not playing games, Izzy. You better stick to your poor, pathetic little life… or I’ll ruin you with my bare hands.”
