Chapter 2

220 Words
Soft winds embraced me as I went out the balcony. It's cold. It's the month of December now and the temperature is slowly plummeting. The coffee I made kept me warm under the sheets of this cold morning. Even if the sun is gradually bidding his hello, the temperature did not falter...and so did those memories. It's been 2 years, huh. Two years of thinking. Two years of realization. Yet, still, didn't gain the courage to face them again. Him. It has really been a long time. "Rae" My train of thoughts stopped when grandma called me. "Malamig. Pumasok ka muna. " I nodded and went in. "May dumating na sulat para sayo kaninang umaga." sabi niya sabay abot ng isang sobre. "Galing Maynila. " she said then walked towards the kitchen. I locked the door before opening the letter... It's a wedding invitation. So, they finally decided. Along the invitation is a letter that says "You'll be taking part in my wedding ,come early, okay!" I breathed deeply. I guess, I can't say no huh.. Fate always find a way for people to face the things they are avoiding. Maybe it's time to face the guilt and fears I have been running from for so long. Maybe... It's time to finally go on, move forward, let go, and accept.
