[Imani’s POV]
I’m in a dark place.
One that is freezing and that feels like a physical thing instead of nothing.
In this place, I can feel pain and suffering, but it isn’t my own.
What is this place?
My voice rings out in my head taking me by surprise because it’s in my head and outside of my head all at the same time.
Nothing about where I was made sense and that was the most terrifying part of all of this.
How did I get here?
I could remember waking up that morning and going to school and then being bullied by Austin and Aiden’s friend, and then…I was left behind by Adam’s driver so I decided to walk and then…
A rogue!
I wince as once again my voice erupts in my head and around me, assaulting my eardrums and making me lift my hands and cover my ears involuntarily.
