The knock sounded again. Alison’s heart was pounding as she walked up to open the door. She didn't know what to expect from him. She braced herself for whatever she was going to face.
Nothing happened.
Nicholas stood there, his expression unreadable as usual. She couldn't tell what she was thinking as she looked up at him. She wondered whether he was still angry or at least explained what she saw.
For a moment, she thought he might explain or at least say something relating to the incident. She didn't expect what happened next.
“We continue our training early,,” He said, his voice low.
Alison blinked, unsure if she heard correctly. “ Training”
“Yeah, we need to continue with our training; I won't always be here with you,,” he said, his gaze intense. “ Be ready by dawn”
