After finishing her set of bicep curls, Gwen mopped her brow with the gym towel and reached for her water bottle. She squirted a long stream into her mouth and swished it around until every square millimeter got some of that precious liquid. Still thirsty. Ever since Lacey’s party she’d been obsessed with water. Couldn’t get enough. Even after two full glasses, her mouth felt as dry as skatepark concrete in summer. Gwen told herself that it didn’t make sense, but that lump in her throat said otherwise. Now she got why B-3’s mom saw germs everywhere. When you’ve been through crazy crap, it messes with your mind.
