I watched as Gabriella sipped her coffee, clutching the cup tightly as she stared at me nervously. She exhaled sharply, turning exasperated eyes to me.
“What you are trying to say is that Ines left you for another man?”
I sighed, nodding. “She did. After everything that I have done to make her happy. We should be the ones getting married but I guess that life is unfair to the good people” I hung my head low in despair.
Gabriella placed a hand on my shoulder. “I am sure that everything is going to be fine and it might have been a misunderstanding! Ines would never do something like that. I see the way that she looks at you and I don’t need any soothsayer to tell me that she loves you”
