“Take your glasses off.” Beta Phil tries to command.
“I don’t want to. You already know who I am, and I refuse to put on a free show for all of you.” I declare not responding to the threatening aura the entire group is emitting towards me. I pick up a pastry and start munching. Bel remains quiet beside me because of course he does.
“…Syrus...” Alpha Felix says almost puzzling.
“Listen the warm greeting is enough to melt this old wolf’s heart but as much as I would love to experience more of your excellent hospitality I am just here for a quick favor.” I said looking at their confusion. Had they forgotten my personality, or had I become sassier over the years?
“You were provided for over the years.” Alpha Felix answered.
“Jeez your princess wife’s life is worth so little?” I snapped. Not sure what offended them more; me claiming he didn’t think much of Luna Diana’s life or that I called her Princess. A title she had to lose to marry him? A loud growl rumbled through the room in response.
“Syrus” Bel sighed. I finally got a word out of him.
“I need nothing from the pack ok.” I clarify. “It is a personal favor I require from Belvedere.”
“Alpha.” Beta Phil corrects me.
“Bel is busy and in no position to be providing favors to rogues.” Beta’s daughter Helena chimed in. I didn’t even notice she was here. Of course, she would be she’s nosey and obsessed with Belvedere.
“Alpha.” I correct her.
“This is a personal request from Syrus. I am in the position to listen to them and decide how to respond Beta Helena.” Belvedere cut in.
Beta Helena? Not Luna? I guess she managed to find a way to stay up his butt. She must have her nose in everything. Well…and she is the former Beta’s daughter. Figures this annoying pack would be run by the rudest asshole and the biggest b***h of our school.
“Belvedere. You haven’t been well for days now. You can’t…” Luna Diana spoke softly.
“I don’t need him to be well. I just need him to be present.” I cut in becoming impatient with the back and forth.
“He is my son I will speak to him without interrupt...” she snapped back at me.
“Let’s take this down a bit.” Belvedere interrupted her, almost sounding annoyed.
“BELVEDERE CANISSON” Alpha Felix booms oozing an overwhelming amount of his alpha power throughout the room. Only Bel and I seemed to be withstanding the pressure. I instinctively put my arm in front of Belvedere protectively. Why am I being protective of Belvedere?

I didn’t think it was possible for Syrus to become bolder. Watching Sai argue with a group of high ranking and powerful wolves with no hesitation was really affecting me in a primal way. My mate is probably the most unhinged and strongest person I will ever meet. I can barely focus on the actual conversation as I watch Sai push everyone’s buttons repeatedly. My brief interjections seemed to only agitate the situation. The volume was starting to get a bit screechy.
“Let’s take this down a bit” I spoke without even knowing what was being said because I was just getting a headache. I felt the air start to swell from my father before he stepped forward.
“BELVEDER CANISSON” his voice reverberated off the walls doing nothing to help my growing headache. Then I saw Syrus put an arm out in front of me in a protective stance. Such a natural Luna response. My mind was everywhere. I was being nagged by my parents and my mate is displaying the most arousing behavior that my wolf is going wild not caring to even pay attention to our current situation. The way Syrus didn’t submit or even remotely react to my father’s Alpha command sent all of my will to function to the bulge in my pants that I was able to hide behind Syrus oddly enough.
“Last time I checked I am the current Alpha. With all do respect this is a personal matter. I will decide how to respond, and I do not want to hear anything else on the matter.” My Alpha power was more like a snake. Constricting your entire being through a mental fog. Even my tone was low and calm. In contrast my father and most Alpha’s are loud and feel like being hit by a train. Well, that is how it has been described to me. I knew my command was strong, but I’d never used it against my own parents, and I never thought anyone could make my father yield to it. I could see the anger and pride struggling in his eyes. I can’t believe it worked but I wouldn’t let that show on my face which wouldn’t be hard to do because I was struck by the sensation of pure desire and desperation from Syrus. I wish I could take those damn shades off so I can look into those eyes.
I ordered food up to my room where Sai reluctantly remained. As long as I can remember Syrus has been very food motivated. I can’t help but smile while I admire the display of Sai’s appetite.

After we ate Bel demanded that I sleep first then we can talk in the evening. I then counter demanded that I be able to stay in my old room. It was still unused, almost waiting for me. I have always been comforted by the tiny room. The only problem was Belvedere’s room was on a different floor and wing of the house entirely. I didn’t want to admit that since being in the Bel’s presence my body and mind have felt alive and well for the first time in six years. But now with even a mild of distance between us I am already starting to feel sick. This is all because of the stupid mate epidemic, I cannot be away from Belvedere past a few meters without falling physically ill with headaches and dizzy spells. Reluctantly I made my way back to Bel’s door praying no one would come out…because I don’t want anyone to see me there…I don’t care if he has a partner… I was hoping that I could reject all s****l desires, then he laid one finger on me, and I lost control and orgasmed.
He opened the door before I even knocked. Stupid mate sensing. No turning back now. He was leaning against the door frame with no shirt on. His shaggy hair was still damp from his shower. He smelled like soap, and it was interfering with his usual scent making me want to rub myself all over him…yea that’s why. He didn’t say anything of course just held the door open as I walked in.
“Good there’s no one here” I look around for any sign of a late-night visitor.
“You left 30 minutes ago. Who would be in here?” He chuckled moving to let me see the entirety of his room. Which I was checking for some reason though I definitely do not care.
“30 minutes is enough time.” I said sounding more jealous than I wanted to sound.
“Do you know from experience?” he spoke suddenly behind me speaking softly into my ear.
“Obviously not.” I snapped.
“Oh, it’s obvious?” he laughed running his nose down my neck.
“You know we haven’t done anything, and I don’t really…get…” I trailed off shivering from feeling his breath graze the back of my neck as he moved my hair to my shoulder. I take a step forward feeling like I am pulling apart a really strong magnet. “Anyway, the point is I have no experience.” That felt so embarrassing to hear it out loud. This is probably a seasoned s*x demon. Considering how many people were after him before. Not to mention he keeps Helena close by.
“Good.” he chuckled while sitting on his bed looking up at me with those big soft eyes and that dumb grin. He leaned back on his bed patting the spot next to him beckoning me to join him.
“I am not sleeping in the bed with you.” I declared. Belvedere sighed and threw a pillow and blanket from the bed to the floor and laid down on his bed. “Glad we understand each other” I said even though my body was about to launch itself into his bed like a breeching whale.
Sleeping on the floor was normal for me so my eyes started to close rather fast. Then tapping on the window made Belvedere pounce up in defense. “Oh yea” I said groggily getting up and opening his window letting Steve fly in.
“What do you mean ‘oh yea’?” he grunted appalled that a random bird was flying around his room.
“This is Steve. Steve, this is the horrid abscess I’ve been trying to get rid of. I told you about him. His name is Belvedere, but he hates being called that so make sure to call him Belvedere.” I spoke freely to Steve as he looked between Bel and me.
“Bel-ve-dere” Steve croaked out.
“Are you seriously talking to a bird right now?” he asked, putting his head in the hand moving his hair out of his eyes.
“A raven. Steve is a raven. They are incredible beings, they can even mimic sounds better than parrots. So, in a way yes, we are talking mind your manners.” I state. Steve hopped across the blankets to the pillow next to my head before settling in.
“You’ll sleep with a bird but not your own mate?” he puzzled. How can he even ask that? He doesn’t even want people to know I am his mate. Horny bastard. That is all he can think about with this stupid heat. Maybe I should just do it. But then we would be mated forever. Well maybe not. Maybe just harder though it is already thought to be impossible to completely break a mate bond.
“I don’t have a mate.” I lied obviously.
