Rescue Mission
[SYRUS POV] I hated the idea of leaving Era again, but Belvedere needed to return to Death Falls, and since I was chained to his side I had to follow. At least we were able to sleep in the cottage until the sun fell. After last night’s events, Belvedere was wiped out mentally and physically. I remember watching him sleep with the smile of an i***t on my face. We managed to locate his vehicle easily enough, but the drive back to the pack was as awkward as to be expected. The drive was at least silent. That is one positive thing about my mate. He is quiet, for the most part. My mate? The voice mocked. I shook the thoughts out of my head. No, not my mate.
