He had just left the library, where he spent most of his free time, escaping the harsh realities of his neighborhood. As he turned onto Crenshaw Boulevard, he noticed a sleek black SUV pulling up beside him. "Hey, you're Craig, right?" he asked, his deep voice commanding attention.

Craig nodded, unsure how this stranger knew his name.

"I'm Eric. I've seen you around. You're quite the bookworm, huh?" Eric said with a charming smile.
