I didn't know when I had managed to fall asleep the previous night. It could have been an hour or two after I laid down on the bed and delved deep into my thoughts. All I knew was that I didn't get as much sleep as I initially thought I would. I arose at the crack of dawn. I didn't normally sleep light but my body and mind was on alert for the past few hours and the sound of a door closing down the hallway woke me up. One of the women who were asleep on the same floor must have been having a hard time sleeping as well. The household seemed to have been perfect but that didn't mean that no one was ever troubled by anything.
