Here, I did the thing I should have done a few days ago. I slapped him and right now I am feeling guilty as well as happy. Why did I have to slap him? I don't know but it was worth it and as long as it is worth it I am happy.
"Why did you have to slap me?!" He shouted.
"You deserved it." I said, and I was about to fall when I got a hold of myself. I pointed at the oak tree.
"What?"
"What did you do to my oak tree?" I said, still pointing at the tree. Why isn't the pain leaving my hand?! My eyes got teary.
"I just carved something on it." No wonder it hurts so much.
"Why did you have to carve something on it?!" I shouted.
"Stop shouting at me." He said.
"I won't." I said.
"Don't act smart with me." He said and held my right hand at the same place where it was hurting. As soon as he gripped it, I screamed, and he quickly got his hand away from my hand. He got his hand close to his face.
"Why is your hand bleeding?" He said and got his hands quickly to my now bleeding hand.
"Stop." I said, holding my hand to stop him. I don't want to see him.
"Get out away from my site." I said.
"I-" He tried to say.
"I want to be alone so get out away from my site." I said coldly. How dare him?
"But you need to treat your woun-"
"No, I don't need to. So, get out from here." I said with my neutral face.
Silence...
"Okay." He said and went away, leaving me alone. I went close to the oak tree and touched it.
"I-" I murmured. So he was writing this here? How childish. He has to repent for it.
"What do you mean? You really want me to forgive him?" I whispered to the oak tree.
"Are you mad?" I nearly shouted.
"Can't you see what he has done to both of us?!" I said furiously. What does it mean by forgive him?! I will never forgive him for this.
"Whatever." I murmured.
"I hope you are okay, despite the pain. I know it is hurting a lot." I said.
"Till now I wondered what would happen to me if something bad happened to you and now, I know what will happen to me." I said as a tear passed my eye. I hugged it.
"I am sorry. I couldn't protect you..." I got out of the hug.
"I-I am sorry because I couldn't protect you." I apologized. I am so... useless. I shouldn't liv-
"It wasn't your fault." Yeah, maybe it wasn't.
"Rose! Roseulka?!" I heard two familiar voices calling my name.
"W-We tried looking for you and finally found you." Reyna said, holding her temples as she was panting.
"Sorry." I said.
"What happened to your hand?" Anna nearly shouted, concerned.
"Let's go to the doctor!" Reyna said.
"Yes." I said, which came out as a whisper.
"What happened? Share with us if you want to." Both of them asked.
"I... I actually... something happened. I slapped Ivan." Both of them gasped as soon as I finished talking.
"DID HE DO SOMETHING TO YOUR HAND?!" Anna screamed.
"Slow Anna." Reyna said. What should I say? I don't know how I should answer that.
"Well, kind of... I-I don't know how to answer that." I said nervously. Why do they even want to know about it so badly?
"Well, you don't have to tell us if you have problems. But, you would feel light if you tell about it to us." Reyna said and Anna nodded. I guess they are right. Aren't they? After all, one day, they will know. So, it is okay to tell them. Right?
"Actually... I-I am the nymph that everyone is talking about." I said quickly and looked at their shocked faces.
"Well." Anna said and jumped on my bed like a total 'I am not a princess type'.
"It's okay." She said, and we stayed silent for the tornado to come. Which tornado I am talking about?
"Really?! This entire time you were the one?! OH MY GOSH! How the heck didn't I even notice?! Am I by any chance an i***t or something like that?! Why don't you have green skin, by the way? ANd there isn't any dress made by leaves for you?!" Anna flooded me with her questions and everything else as if I will leave this earth tomorrow and she will never get a chance for asking me questions again.
I giggled, even though I was always afraid of these questions. These questions are nothing but strange and weird. "Well, you see my skin color is rose beige, as you can see. And I don't have any dress made of leaves, as far as I know." I answered.
"So, those don't exist." She asked, looking disappointed.
"Well, yes. They are just myths." I said with a chuckle. Her disappointment looks funny to me. I don't know why, but she looks funny.
"Well, can you fix my plant?" Reyna asked.
"Yeah, sure."
"You don't need any practice for that?" Anna asked.
"Well, you have to spend your energy on it. It costs your energy with every spell you will say." I said.
"It sounds tired." Reyna said.
"Wait, let me get my plant." Reyna got up and went out of the room.
"Is your hand still hurting?" Anna asked, looking worried.
"A bit." I said.
"It will get better... I hope."
"By the way, you still didn't tell me what happened there, actually."
"Well, I kept a promise with Prince Ivan about keeping it a secret so..."
"It's okay." Anna replied, flapping her hands in the air.
"Well, there was something between us. I mean, we are not even friends and he is just using me. And he carved a letter to the tree which was given to me. So, when he carved it on the oak tree my hand was cut...you know." I tried to explain and didn't break the promise. I don't break promises. Breaking those aren't my thing and not breaking is in my principles.
"Oh." Anna said, probably trying to process what I just said.
"So you are trying to say that the tree-" Anna stopped saying what she was about to say after we heard footsteps.
"Here." Reyna said, giving the plant to me. In a short time II fixed it leaving them shocked.
"Can they even follow your every command?" Reyna asked.
"Well, no. I don't know." I answered.
"Seriously?" Reyna said, her face pulled into suspiciousness.
"Yes... I don't know." I replied.
"Well... I think someone is going to die today." Anna said, and our head flew into her position.
"ARE YOU f*****g SERIOUS?! We can't hear your deadly scream again!" Both of us shouted again. Yeah, we were more worried about her deadly scream than the person who would be dying.
"Aha- ha. No, lol I was just kidding." Anna said, sitting down grinning.
"Thank gosh! Who jokes about this kind of thing?!" I said, and slapped her shoulder playfully. We can never ever hear her scream again. One day, she started screaming because someone was about to die. And the glasses were broken because of her deadly scream. Well, that is what the banshee does. The authorities then asked her to go into the mountains for screaming. Anna is a princess of a small country which can hardly be seen on the map with bare eyes.
"I have to send a letter to my mother." Reyna mumbled.
"How is the Queen doing?" I asked.
"Well, I don't know." She replied, barely making any sound. They don't allow us, royals, to use phones. Therefore, we have to write letters. Such old-fashioned things. Who uses letter these days? I seriously want to have a phone.
"She will be fine! Don't worry guys!" Anna said, clenching her fists. Yes, the only positive one in this room who is bright and can't think of any negative things.
I woke up because of Hanna's call. Only two days left for the ball everyone has been waiting for. I don't want to see Ivan in front of me. Not after what he has done. What the hell did he even wanted to carve there?! That spoiled rich brat! I am never ever forg-
"Should I bring you the water-"
"No need! Thanks!" I said and got thinking,up.
"So, what are you thinking of wearing?"
"I don't know." I replied to Anna, who wasn't stopping blabbering. I stopped walking after I saw Ivan throwing daggers at me with his eyes. Huh! He thinks only he can throw daggers at me? I glared at him. It was his fault. Okay, to be honest I feel guilty about slapping him but it was his fault!! No, I should stop bringing the same thing in my head again and again. I looked away, thinking he will get me as a disaster princess. And, I don't want to be the root for causing any stain in the reputation of my father and mother who I address as my King and Queen.
I am half blooded royal, lol. I don't know why, but today seems different. It is kind of rainy. Will it rain today... just like that day?
"Were are you going?" I looked up when the familiar voice brought me back here. Ivan, again.
"You slapped me that day. Don't you have anything to say about that matter? And what were those glares you were sending me from there? Huh?" He said with rage and Anna just bitted her lips. I know what that means. I gave a smile to Anna.
"You can go." I said to her, and she nodded her head in a 'no' even though she doesn't want to stay here. I nodded my head again, my eyes moving to her figure and the way to the class. Finally she went close to the door but not far away and here we are.
"Well, I am not apologizing to you, as you did the wrong thing. And again, I didn't glare at you. I wouldn't dare. I look at everyone like that. Sorry, if you misunderstood my gaze." I said with a polite smile.
"Don't you dare play this game with me." He replied, taking a step towards me as I took a step back.
"I am not playing any games with you." I said, and he took a step closer to me. This time, I didn't take a step back. Why should I?
"Please don't create situations like these as you are going to be my sister's boyfriend." I said. For the first time, I addressed her with the word sister. It actually feels. . . nice. Ivan went back.
"At least tell me why did you slap me and what did I even do?!" He said now, in a calm voice.
"Well, you carved something-"
"IVAN!" Who the heck shouted his name like this? Could it be Prince Ryan? But he should have been coming on the day of the ball, right? I looked to my right. Okay, whoever he is handsome. His skin is olive color and his black curly hair fell up to the end of his ear. He is goodly built and his eye color is blue. He rushed towards us with his arm open and hugged IVAN?! I felt a sharp pain in my hand as I was losing my balance when someone caught me hand and I flew to their chest! The f**k.
