Chapter 20: Feeding in the Night It is the first time I’ve sought to feed on a human in Kentucky, and I am wondering where to find the right person. In Boston, I had Lily to direct me almost from the start, and we would go down by the docks where sailors and low-lives gathered. But there is no body of water here, so I’m trying to think of where people might find themselves feeling vulnerable and sad. These are the people who benefit most from the way Lily taught me to feed; exchanging blood nourishment for our bodies for spirit nourishment for their minds.
