Monica didn’t return for a couple of days and Adam started to relax. It was weird, being afraid of her presence. He wished she would show up already to get this exorcism business on the road. There were questions he had, and his brothers did, too. Some B-rate science fiction movie was on TV, everyone except Levi camped out with snacks while they watched. Adam wished he could slip away and relax in his room with a book, cuddled up against Michael’s sturdy body in his own space, not in front of his brothers and their angels.
