Chapter 12

Janessa's point of view

As everyone started running, I held onto Damon's back. I was surprised he was able to keep up with the wolves, but he did and didn't even break a sweat. Damon and I have been getting closer the last few weeks. I didn't know how to tell Lily that Damon and I are mates. I don't want her to think I am trying to take the only family she has around away. She has gotten so attached to him since he told her he was her cousin.

Getting lost in my thoughts and the tingles from the skin contact with my mate, I look ahead and see Lily taking the lead. We run for a few more mins when Lily becomes a blur in the distance. Wow she is fast, I knew lycans were fast but I never seen one move like that before. We keep running for a little bit longer when the Alpha and Shyan start to slow down and sniff the air. Stopping they sniff in the air, around the trees and even in a circle.

Stopping and staring at each other, they look to be having a conversation. Shyan's wolf goes behind a tree and shifts to her human form. with the tree hiding her nakedness, she peeks around the corner and tells us. "We lost their trail, and even their scent, Its weird almost like they were never here. Try and get into contact with Lily and find out where they are."

Damon put me down and looked me in the eyes, with both my hands now in his he tells me. "I'm on it, i'll see if I can contact her." With that he lets my hands go, extends his glorious wings and takes off into the air. He is up quit far, I almost cant see him to the night sky. He is hovering up there for about five mins and then comes back down, "I got a hold of her, she is not sure where she is at, she is going to consult her wolf. We should start to head back to the cabin while we wait to hear back from her." Swinging my head around to meet his gaze, "are you kidding me, we should stay here in case she comes back through here."

Looking at me in the eyes with a look of understanding, "I understand your concern, but Lily is a very smart girl. She will know to go back to the cabin, have faith in her. If not her, then her wolf will know where to go." He said that with so much confidence that he made me believe it. So with a sigh of defeat I get on his back once again as we head back. Shyan had changed back to her wolf and they both followed us.

About 20 mins later we make it back to the cabin, and out of no where it seemed like Lily and Ryker were there. Lily's wolf was running and came to a stop right before she hit the pool. With relief and excitement I jump off Damon's back and run to Lily and wrap my arms around her neck. She relaxes into my embrace and I pull away. She backs up away from me just a little bit, and I was hurt, I thought she was mad at me. She then shift back into her little girl form, I was going to get a towel to cover her but stopped when I seen her cloths appeared on her in one piece.

I grab her and turn her around in amazement, seeing her bathing suit was all in tact. "How is this possible, I never seen any wolf or lycan able to shift with their cloths back on." Lily just giggles and told me "Sheba said I am unlike any lycan you have come across before, there will be a lot of first you will see and learn." "I'm taking it that Sheba is your lycan?" Lily just nods her head.

Lily's (Mahila) point of view

I got back to the cabin, and they were all their. After all the fussing they did over what had happened, I explained what Sheba had told me. Once again their mouths were dropped open in aw and I tried not to laugh at their funny faces. We ended up calling it a night, well morning actually. It was well past 4 am when we got to bed. I woke up to find that everyone was already up and getting ready to head back to the pack.

My aunt was over at a coat closet with her golden blue glowing hands waving them around the doorway. Walking over to her with a slight yawn, "Auntie what are you doing?" She continued to do her thing and with out looking at me she says, "I am creating a portal from here to my closet so we can come here any time we need to get away. Shyan and the alpha said it was ok, that you will need an open place to run and get use to your wolf."

With a nod of understanding I walk over to Damon. "Can I talk to you please, I have something to tell you." With a smile he leads me to the back patio by the pool. We both take a seat in the lounge chairs. I look up at him with what I hope is my serious face, "I know you like Aunt Jane. I am ok with that, I want you two to be happy. You both don't have to sneak around anymore." I say the last part with a smile on my face.

With a deep chuckle coming from him, he simmers down a little bit to talk. I appreciate that little bit, but there is more to it then that." Now with a serious look on his face, your aunt and I are actually mates, she is my soul mate and I am in love with her." With genuine love in his eyes for Jane. "Why have you two not finished the bond, what are you waiting for. Why are you so afraid of being together?"

Grabbing onto both of my shoulders so I will look him in the eye, "Your aunt was afraid that you would think she was taking me away from you. I tried to tell her that you would be ok with it, but she insisted on waiting. Your aunt loves you and cares about you with all of her being. You have had so much pain and sorrow in your life, she didn't want to be the cause of any more." Understanding now I stand up and tell him. "I understand, but I also know you are not going any where."

Now walking back into the house and walk over to Jane, who is now sitting on the stool at the island talking to Shyan. Tapping on her leg she looks down at me. "Yes Lily, what can I get you?" With a big smile on my face I simply say, I approve auntie, and I am ok with it. Be happy." She looks confused and shocked and starts to mouth what when I look over to Damon. She smiles and a look of knowing crosses her face.

After we got back to the pack house things went back to normal. Me and Ryker spent most of the time playing and of course swimming. I loved the water, I could live in the water if I had gills. Me, Damon, and aunt Jane would go up to the cabin quite a bit to let Sheba out and I also asked Damon to start training me in combat. I need to learn and I wanted to start as soon as possible. When Ryker wasn't learning alpha duties with his dad, he was up at the cabin learning with me in combat. He was also getting to know Sheba, he really liked talking to her as she liked getting to know him.

Weeks went by and school started. I was tested the first day of school to see what gradr I need to start in, do to not going to school the little more then two and a half years I was a slave to the rogues. With me being so far ahead in my studies from the schooling before we lost the war, they wanted me to be in 7th grade. I told them I am ok starting in 5th with the other kids my age. The alpha also told them the same thing so that is where I started my schooling here.

I was actually enjoying the normal life with out the worry of getting a broken body if I do something wrong. I got along with most of the pack members, they were all friendly and talked to me. Of course you always have the popular, pretty preppy girls who think they run the school. Even in my grade they are there, and the head of the prep pack was Kelly. She always gave me dirty looks, but when I was with Ryker she would smile big at him and say hi to me like we are friends. I found out four days after we started school why she didn't like me. She caught me out of class on my way to the bathroom, Ryker was still in class so I was alone.

Stopping me right outside of the bathroom, she pushed my up against the wall and with venom lacing her voice. "You aint nothing, you really think Ryker likes a loser like you. I am his mate and when I am Luna, you will be the first thing to go. You and your loser aunt. Stay away from what is mine or i'll get rid of you myself." She let me go and all I could do is laugh, did she really think she could take me on. She looked at me in shocked and anger, so I got my serious face on. I stood up straight, put my hand to my head like a shoulder and said " MAM YES MAM!" She got so red and I think she actually had steam coming out of her ears.

As she stormed off I finally went to the bathroom. The weeks kept going by like that and her fake personality when Ryker was around. I didn't tell him cause I can handle her on my own. I was also getting pretty good at the combat training, Damon was teaching me and also the magic training that aunt Jane was teaching me. Damon would also help me work with my lycan form as well, him working with the pack warriors gave him a bit of insite to how wolves moved.

It's been around six months since I got my lycan, we are at the cabin training now. Ryker and the alpha were up here as well. I was in my lycan form and the alpha was in his wolf form, we were practicing in wolf form. My silver doesn't harm Thane so it was ok to fight with him. My wolf had grown a little bit since I got her. The alpha is about 6'5" in his wolf form, and I was only about an inch shorter then him. I was able to get the jump on him a few times, but he is good. In the end he always got me pinned to the ground.

Out of no where I smell a wolf, one I have never smelt before. The alpha also smelt the wolf, and in union we both growled. Damon was in full demon mode now and before me and the alpha could take off to find the wold, Damon was gone. I heard a rustling in the woods and a yelp. Damon comes back with a large white wolf in his arms, he lands and puts the wolf down. I shift back into my human form and the alpha goes into the cabin to shift and put shorts on.

He comes back out an goes over to the wold, who is now sitting up. "Shift" the alpha says in his alpha tone. The wolf doesn't shift and looks over at me. He yelled for the wolf to shift again and the wolf just stares at me. I walk over and put my hand on the alphas arm, "Let me try something." I walk over to the wolf, and Damon steps in front of the wolf so I cant get to it. "It's not safe Lily, let us figure this out." With a smile I look at Damon, "Just trust me Damon, let me talk to them. You can stand right there, nothing will happen."

Looking back over to the wolf I ask them "are you going to hurt me?" The wolf shakes it;s head no, with that said Damon steps to the side. I walk up to the wolf, turning to the alpha. "Can you get me a towel please?" He goes into the house and comes out with a pool towel and hands it to me. Looking back over to the wolf I ask her, "Will you please shift for me?" With a nod of her wolf head it shifts as I hold up the towel. When they are done, they grab the towel and wrap it around. I look back to the wolf, well female now. She is beautiful with fire red hair, hazel eyes, and a tall slim tan body.

"Can I ask who you are?" She looks down at me and with a smile on her face she tells me "Yes your highness, I am Jazel, I am your lycan protector."
