Chapter 23

Ryker's point of view

    As we swim through the barrier, my breath was taken away. I have never seen anything like this before. In front of my very eyes was a city under water, made of gold, silver, and even diamonds. It was beyond amazing, there were stone pillars with silver and gold swirled into it holding up arch ways leading to the castle. It looks like a very fancy road, but who needs roads under water right. On each side of the arch way road were statues of different sea creatures and mer people made in silver, gold, and marble.

    The houses and buildings were all over the place in like an organized chaos. They were all made out of what looks like coral and seaweed. It looks like the windows are a diamond but I am not really sure. There were however in every statue the eyes were diamonds. The houses and buildings were spiraling up the hill leading to the castle. The castle was huge and very beautiful. It was made from all white marble and the pillars were gold with swirls of silver going up them. The main door was two huge doors made from gold but had a huge amount of gems in them. They created a picture on the door and when it is closed the picture was a picture of Maliha in her mermaid form, not Lily but the beautiful long midnight black locks, gorgeous ice blue tail, her bra shells being the same ice blue along with her eyes, and her silky tan toned body. 

    I am beyond in love with this amazing woman. This place was something outta this world to me and I couldn't wait to explore it with my mate. I glance over at my beauty and I think my mouth was open slightly cause she chuckled a bit and said "welcome to Atlantis baby." I had no words for her as I was still taking it all in and I just shook my head.

    So we continued to swim toward the castle but we stopped in a little place that looks something like shops, stores, and restaurants. Lea pulls me into a building and the inside does not do the inside justice. It was a restaurant and the walls were white marble with white marble pillars that had silver swirl up it  places the same distance apart. The tables and chairs here glass while there were sea flowers placed on the tables for decoration. The floor is done in like a blue tinted glass. It was quite amazing and it must have been a fancy place.    

    The hostess takes us to our seats and we sit down. I wasn't sure how I was going to sit with my fin, but it actually works a lot like legs, they are more flexable then one would think. The hostess spoke up after seating us, " Your waiter will be with you in just a few mins." I say Lea perk up and ask the hostess, "Hey is Kane working today?" The hostess though for a min and then said "yes." "Can he be my waiter today please?" "Of course my queen" The hostess said with a bow. I didn't realize everyone here knew who she was.

    As we waited for our waiter I spoke up, "this place is amazing. Do you ever get use to it?" She just giggled a bit and said " It did take me about a month before I stopped admiring every single detail, but no I still think it's so amazingly beautiful here and I don't think I will ever get use to its beauty." "I have lived here my entire life love and I still have not gotten use to its beauty nor yours." A man said as he came up beside Maliha and took her hand and kissed it. I never was a jealous man so it didn't bother me, I trust my Lea. She actually blushed a little bit, it was cute to see her pink little cheeks. With her black hair it brought out the pinkness a bit more. 

    She cleared her throat and said "Hi Kane, its nice to see you again. I did miss you so much." She then turned toward me and looked a bit worried, I'm guessing she thought I would be mad about the scene I had just witnessed, but I just gave her a reassuring smile and she continued. "Kane this is Ryker, my child hood friend and my Lycan mate. Ryker this is Kane, he had been a good friend to me since I came here." She said that last part with a bit of caution in her tone like there was something more. The look he gave her was one of disbelief as well. I could also see that she was saying something to him through her link ability as well.

    I stood up and stretched out my hand and said "A pleasure to meet you. Any friend of Maliha's is a friend of mine. Thank you for helping her out while she was here." I said and he shook my hand with a smile that was holding something back. I know there is more to this but I will let Lea tell me on her own time. He let go of my hand and said "Alright who is ready to order?" "Well Kane I am a lycan and I like my meat, so what do you suggest?" Lea smiled at me and before Kane could say anything she spoke up and said, "I got this baby, trust me. I think we will both take the seafood special, with kale as the side. Oh and no shrimp on mine, I still cant get into it." Kane jotted down the order and said "Alright I'll be right back with your order. 

    I almost wanted to say something about drinks, but then I realized I was not thirsty. I got to looking around at other tables and realized no one had drinks. Guess there is another perk to being a merman. I look up at Lea and you could see on her face there was something more she wanted to tell me. "What it it Lea, you look like you have something on your mind baby." I grabbed her hand and squeezed it a bit. She looks up at me and says "There is something I need to tell you, but I want to wait till later if that is ok. Lets just enjoy our meal for now please." 

    I squeezed her hand again and said that it was fine and we continued with our meal. It was so delicious, I was never really into seafood before. I always liked my meats and all but seafood was a different story, but now with my changes it was so good. We finished up and I was going to pay but Lea stopped me. "Babe your money is no good here, They wont accept any payment from me, I am their queen here already and they treat me as such." As she was saying that I was looking around and say a lot of eyes on us and as I was looking at them they were bowing to me also. I was now confused, I have not taking the place as their king yet, and they don't know me so why are they bowing to me?

    I look at Lea and she is smiling and I guess she already knew what I was thinking cause she spoke up before I could ask anything. "They know who you are already, We have completed the mating bond, you have royal blood running through you and you are wearing the royal mark." I furrowed my brow cause I didn't know what mark she was talking about, 'what mark are you talking about?" She smiled big and continued "The crown on the back side of the bottom of your tail. Look I have the same one on line." She said as she turned around and there it was on the bottom part of her tail, a golden crown. I flipped my fin around as much as I could to see mine and there it was, I could make out half of it. 

    "Wow babe, I didn't notice that, that's actually kinda cool," I said with a smile on my face ad I pulled her in for a kiss. After the sensual kiss, which I might add I had a really hard time pulling away, we started to make our way out when Lea got in front of me and laughed. "Baby you might want to think of something gross of ugly." I furrowed my brow and looked at her confused and she kind of pointed down but with out making it noticeable. I look down and to my surprise there was a huge lump in my tail on the front side. Not wanting to talk aloud, I linked her and asked, "what is that?" She held back a huge laugh and only chuckled and with a huge smile on her face she said "Baby that is your hard on, It doesn't look much different then in your human form." Understanding now and realization kicking in I could actually feel my cheeks getting red.

    after the incident in the restaurant I finally get myself calmed down and we leave and head for the castle. Once there we go up to the doors and the detail in the picture is even more amazing up close. There are two guards by the door along with two sword fish. They were swimming in place next to the mermen and it was actually really cool. "Hey babe, do we have the ability to talk and communicate with the sea life?" I asked her with curosity in my voice and she smiled very brightly. "Yes we do and they help us guard out kingdom and they live among us."

    Even more amazed then I was before I look at the sword fish and say hi, it must have been in my head cause I didn't hear it come out of my mouth. The sword fish then responded back to me. "Hello mate, you must be new to this. It will take some time to get use to it but you have a good trainer beside you." I smiled and grabbed Lea's hand and agreed with the fish. He then said "Welcome to Atlantis my king. I smiled back at him as the guards opened the doors. 

    The inside of the castle was just as breath taking as the outside. The walls were white marble with gold swirled into it along with the pillars. The floor was more of a stone, but a black shiny stone. There was a long red coral carpet leading to the stair ways. There were two separate stairs leading up to the balcony. The place was huge and surprisingly it was warm and homey. Lea led me down the hall and into a room that looks like a big living room. 

    There was a gray haired woman laying on a lounge reading a book, but the look looked like it was laminated. Lea went over to her and got her attention and said "Hey grandma, how have you been? I have missed you so much." She gave her a hug and then turned her toward me and introduced us. "Grandma this is Ryker my true mate and the future king. Ryker this is my grandma." I reach over to shake her hand but instead she pulls me into a hug. When we part Lea talks with her grandma for a few mins before she tells her that me and her are going to get some rest in her room. They hug again before we go to leave the room.

    Lea leads me up the stairs, not that we actually use them. We go down the hall and to a set of double doors and opens them. This room was so big, I could probably fit at east five of my bedrooms in it. She leads me over to the sitting are and she motions for me to sit down. I do as she ask and sit and she sits in front of me. She looks nervous and I grab her hand. "Baby what is it, just relax and tell me how bad can it be?" She kind of half smiles at me and then takes in a deep breath and lets it out. "Ok Ry I'm just going to say it but first I want to say i'm sorry I didn't know until I asked my grandma what was happening. Know I love you more then anything in this world and I always have." I smile at her and nod my head for her to continue. "Um ok so you know how I have a guardian for every ability I get?" I nod my head and she continues. "Well it is kind of the same with mates, I will more then likely have a mate with every ability I gain as well."
