BLAIR’S POV I walk into the boardroom and the murmurs start immediately, low whispers trailing behind me along with disappointed stares. My heart is pounding like crazy, and my palms already sweaty, because the last time I sat here, I acted like I had everything under control. I was so confident then. Now it just makes me feel stupid. In one week of being CEO, our shares have dropped to the lowest they’ve been in years, and I’m about to admit it out loud. I settle into my seat at the end of the table, taking a glance around.
