Chapter 9: Four Gods and a Demi

4334 Words
~Rowan~ I was in my bed, my hand propped on the back of my head as the pink-haired mermaid sauntered naked around the room. The sounds of Danielle screaming from the other room had given me an old-forgotten itch. When the gorgeous looking female came to my room and shot me the... ohh so knowingly flirty look. I didn't even have to remind myself I hadn't been with anyone for over a year. Now after the second go, she was elegantly walking barefoot and naked in front of me, and I was feeling spent. ¨So you really don't mind.¨ Shooting a wolfish smile, she turned to me, her knees slowly making her way up the bed again. ¨I really don't mind, wolf. We merepeople treat the costumes of mating so differently.¨ Her fingers playfully went up to my chest, scratching lightly with her nails. ¨We don't have the same archaic look when it comes to our female population…¨ With the other hand, she began counting. ¨First we don't regard the boring never touched as something that is so needed. If a girl wants to have fun, let her have the time of her life.¨ I laughed as her melodic voice rang in my ears. ¨I am in love with a whole kind.¨ I shook my head, biting my lower lip as I said this. ¨ Second, we do love our lander visitors.¨ She hovered herself on top of me. ¨And why is that?¨ She began lowering herself slowly, making me shake as I felt her warm mouth around my shaft. She mumbled. ¨Well, because your people are exotic, we don't get to meet many of you… I promise that the ones that are supposedly drowned by us spend the time of their lives when they come by for a visit, just like you.¨ I closed my eyes and gritted my teeth, feeling how she lowered her mouth until the tip os my c**k touch the back of her throat, my finger slowly grabbed her long pink hair in a ponytail. She came up back for a breath and talked to the tip of my cock.¨In fact, tonight we have a fantastic party if you want to come. Maybe I can even introduce a friend or two to you.¨ I nodded, as she began to bob faster, making my hips arch from the mattress and exploding with a grunt on the back of her throat, my wolf curiously silent as if he approved of our multicultural liaison. She climbed on top of me, planting herself on my belly and gave me a sweet smile as I recovered my breath. ¨I would love to go. Let me see if my pack wants to join us.¨ She nodded, standing up from the bed and putting her dress back on, adjusting it. ¨Just ring me so I can show you how to get there.¨ She pointed at a bell in a corner. I nodded as she walked to the door and pressed her lips on her fingers, blowing me a kiss. I faked a wounded heart and collapsed back onto my bed. ¨Seafolk are amazing.¨ I mumbled as I stood up and looked at the now cold food on my side table. A bowl of soup that looked like seaweed stood out. ¨But their food sucks.¨ I put the lid back on it and placed my pants that were sprawled on the floor beside the bed. I grabbed my shirt off the floor and whistled as I began putting it on and opening my door. In front of me was Zheng's room, and I was going to ask if he wanted to come. I knocked on it, and he opened it. ¨Monkey, a mermaid, said there's a party….¨ I was about to speak when Danielle darted out of her room looking happy, pulling Benjamin by the hand. He had a slightly more annoyed face than his regular one. We both stared at them as their eyes stared at us. ¨What are you planning to do?¨ I squeezed my eyes at the flustered looking witch who shifted her weight and giggled. ¨Why do you think I am planning to do anything?¨ I pursed my lips, and the three males in the corridors gave her a knowing look. She flinched and shrugged, hugging herself, looking from side to side. ¨I want to spy on the meeting between Calipso and Triton.¨ Zheng opened his mouth. ¨Do you guys think that is smart? I think they want a closed conference for a reason.¨ She squeezed her eyes, shaking her head. ¨She is part of this pack….¨ Benjamin opened his mouth. ¨Whether she likes it or not.¨ Danielle answered before he could ask the question. ¨And we should be able to know what is happening.¨ I tilted my head, trying to analyze her point of view. ¨I don't think that's how it works, Danielle.¨ She rolled her eyes and snapped. ¨I don't care!¨ Cassie opened the door to her room. ¨I heard everything... I am in. They asked Hektor to go, and I want to know why.¨ Danielle motioned to her, nodding. ¨See even Cassie´s agreeing with this.¨ I sighed. ¨Well that´s two of you so far.¨ ¨...and Benjamin¨ Danielle clipped in. I looked at Ben´s pained face. ¨I don't think Benjamin is convinced.¨ ¨He is.¨ I pointed at the wolf. ¨He is clearly not.¨ Benjamin took a deep breath. ¨Can you stop talking about me as if I wasn't even here.¨ ¨No!¨ We both said louder than usual, making him glower, growl and spank her butt hard, making her yelp. ¨Fine, he is not convinced, but I have a mind of my own, and he is afraid I would probably get myself killed, so are you guys coming?¨ She blushed probably at something Benjamin's mind-linked her and turned, grabbing Cass's hand and pulling her forward. Looking at Zheng, he shrugged his shoulders. ¨If you can't stop them…¨ I sighed, closing my door and walking behind them. ¨Might as well join them.¨ We walked all and around the area, but sometimes the bubble ended, and we were left going back and finding other corridors. Soon Danielle was humming a spy song through the pack bond. ¨Danielle.¨ Benjamin warned. Making her turn. ¨What? I didn't realize I was doing it.¨ I laughed. ¨Being annoying... Right.¨ She glowered at me then pointed at a corridor that was flooded. ¨We need to cross over there.¨ Zheng took a step in front and looked. ¨Why over there?¨ She kept pointing. ¨It is evident because the bubble ends here, and there's another bubble there, meaning landers.¨ Benjamin also took a look. ¨Right Calipso.¨ ¨Exactly¨ Danielle snapped and stabbed her finger on his chest, making him grab her hand and kiss her palm, looking straight into her eyes. ¨Right...¨ Danielle now stammered with the intensity of his gaze. I never realized why those two were mated, but seeing this, it made sense. Benjamin was the only creature I think that could handle that woman. ¨We need air.¨ She bit her lips, giving him a slightly loving look. Then turning towards the group. ¨We need a bubble.¨ Her eyes rested on Cass. Cass brought both her hands up and flicked her index. ¨Ohh no, no, I haven’t made a bubble that big before.¨ I put an arm around her shoulders. ¨Well, this is good practice.¨ We all looked at her. ¨Fine, but step aside.¨ ¨Air around me, hear me out. Air surrounds me and fills me now. I cast a wind, a planetarium, even a typhoon. I cast the sea to move for you.¨ ¨Do you think this is going to work?¨ I asked Zheng as we waited for something to happen. ¨You are becoming Danielle saying the worst things at the worst possible time.¨ He shot back a look, making me shut up. A wind gust began to travel, and as she took a step forward, it began shifting the bubble. As Cassie walked, the bubble expanded. ¨That's a girl.¨ I mumbled as she turned her head, beaming. Her brown eyes glimmered with excitement. We crossed the corridor and finally we could hear what was happening on the other side. We walked behind Cassie, the bubble disappearing as soon as we took a step on the other side. ¨Should we open it?¨ Danielle placed her hand on the doorknob as Benjamin's hand shot up going on top of hers. He shook his head and pointed with his chin to a side door. Cassie tiptoed over there and placed her head to the side, motioning with her hand as to say the coast cleared, opening it. I was the last one to enter, so I closed it behind me. It was like a maid's corridor to the main area. The wall to the other side was clearly decorative, and here there were small holes and crevices where you could watch what was happening in the other room. On the other side, you could see a throne, and a woman was on her back, her knees to her chest, and she was quietly weeping. I looked up, and on this side, there was sort of an altar holding a book. The door rattled, and the woman got to her feet and composed herself. Benjamin breathed in. ¨That's Morrigan.¨ He shot through the mind-link. ¨Like Morrigan our Goddess?¨ Cassie asked, making him nod. ¨And what the hell is she doing here?¨I asked as I watched with more curiosity than I had before. My answer soon came as the door opened. ¨Come Calipso, my child, here's the instrument that will help you find what you seek.¨ A golden man entered the room with long strides.¨Triton the God to the mereman.¨ Zheng added, pointing at him. Calipso and Gadeus were behind him, walking with their heads down. ¨Shit got interesting.¨ Danielle added, blinking at the new players in this conversation. Morrigan opened her eyes as a wave of energy traveled the room. ¨Can you feel that?¨Cassie asked, and I nodded as everything around me felt sadder melancholic. Calipso brought her head up and looked at the Goddess in question for a few moments. ¨I didn't sign up for this. I told you, my God, it is not my wish to look upon this… this….¨ Her voice sounded broken, but even so, she managed to spit out. ¨...Thing¨ ¨Calipso!¨ Gadeus warned, gripping her hand, making her snap, and almost yell. ¨No Gadeus, she can't come and do this to me not anymore. I have had it with that. I had enough of her.¨ She pointed at the Goddess, who was silently taking the verbal beating. ¨Calipso please, my child, hear me out.¨ Her angry red face turned towards Triton. ¨You are my God, you saved me, you are the one who answers my prayer, and you are the one I choose, not her. I may have been born in her kind, but I am no longer consider one of hers.¨ ¨Calipso.¨ Triton now was the warning voice. ¨I shall not stay in her presence one-minute longer Gadeus lets leave.¨ She walked towards the door and placed her hand on the doorknob, but her mate made no attempt to follow her. ¨Calipso!¨ Triton boomed, making all of us flinch and shake at the sound of his voice. ¨You are coming back into the middle of this room and listen to your God.¨ Calipso closed her eyes hard, moving her wrist, trying to fight the urge to go back. ¨If you don't come here as one that prays for me, then you should come here as my daughter.¨ She turned around, and I looked to the side. ¨What does that means?¨ Everybody shook their head, not understanding the God. ¨ You are my daughter.¨ He pointed at the small golden-haired witch. Then he turned to the short brown-haired Goddess. ¨And that is your mother, so show some respect.¨ You could hear a pin drop as Calipso slowly took her hand off the doorknob and turned her body around fire-raising through her eyes. ¨My father was a fisherman.¨ Triton stood up, grabbing Morrigans hand. ¨The man, you considered your father the one who raised you as a human before your powers came out.¨ She looked at Gadeus shaking. ¨What is he saying?¨ Her voice sounded broken and demanding, as if she was about to cry. Now Morrigan took a step forward. ¨That you were the fruit of a mate bond between Triton and me. He is your father, my demigoddess, and I gave birth to you.¨ Calipso fell to the floor, and Gadeus was beside her in no time. ¨My Gods.¨ His eyes wandered between the two deities. Calipso, with the help of her mate, stood up again, her face straight and her eyes clear. Morrigan tried speaking over as she tried placing her hand on the witch's cheek. ¨You have left me to die so many times I can't count, you that had preferred me to reject my true mate so I would become some elven companion. You who, after I said no to that abomination of nature and had to make a pact with an unnatural, cast me aside to live on an island at the end of the world, are no mother to me.¨ Calipso turned to Triton, but before she could say anything, Hektor entered the room in his usual good mood, making every one of us gasp. He turned to the wall and looked, and then he turned to the people in the room. His smile falling as he saw the faces of everyone. ¨What is happening, mother?¨ Morrigan gasped. ¨Is this my grandson?¨Calipso grabbed Hektors wrist as Morrigan was about to embrace him, bringing him to her side. ¨He is a mereman no magic of yours runs through his veins. No witch magic would ever run to his veins.¨ Now Cassie gasped, and I grabbed her as her eyes began to mist, one tear sliding down her cheek. ¨Mother you know you shouldn't. You know my mate is a witch, and it is unfair you referred to your own kind like that.¨ Hektor explained, condemning the words Calipso said. ~ Selene~ It had to be a world and a day trying to convince my newfound mate about the necessity to come to Triton's underwater palace. At first, he was not convinced I should leave his land's limits. He was convinced the place could offer me protection against anything. I finally persuaded him, saying I was on my way to talk to two of the wolves I needed for the Lycan ascension. I had already thought of six outstanding wolves to go through the trials. Two of them are already within the tribe's limit, and my future king was on his way. Two of them are in this palace, and I need to get this going as fast as possible, I thought to myself as I appeared in Triton's throne chamber. With a bang, I apparated in the middle of some drama as I felt all the faces around me redden and scowling. Morrigan was hugging her midriff as Triton comforted her to the side. A small golden-haired witch was almost collapsing on her mereman's arms, and another mereman was pointing at her. ¨I think I am disturbing.¨ I mumbled to myself as I looked to the other side to the wall. There, a force was standing at the side. The wolves that I was looking for were secretly hidden. ¨What are you doing here, Selene?¨ Morrigan asked as she changed her face to the cold mask she usually wore, the one she used to hide her real emotions. ¨Not much, just coming around to find a couple of my children that are needed on the surface.¨ I squeezed my eyes as I issued a warning to them. Triton looked at me, then turned to the wall I was looking at. Clapping my hands hard, I turned towards the scenario I had clearly stumbled upon. ¨What about you?¨ Triton scoffed, and Morrigan whimpered. The witch was still clutching the arm of her mate. ¨Who may I ask is this child?¨ Morrigan took a step forward and spoke. ¨This, my dear sister, is my daughter, Calipso.¨ I bit my lower lip and raised my eyebrow. ¨Daughter as one of your kind.¨ She shook her head. ¨Daughter as Yagour.¨ My eyes went big, and I gasped, putting a hand on my mouth. ¨Morrigan, why didn't you… How?¨ I looked at Triton and jumped, a hand on my chest. ¨It can´t be. How have you managed to keep her a secret for such a long time?¨ Triton walked with his hands on his back. ¨I had managed to pour an exceeding amount of magic on a small land on the coast. Her magic is invisible to anyone.¨ He turned to my new-found niece. ¨It wasn't your mother that expelled you onto that plot, but it was I to keep you safe when you made a pact with an unnatural, my daughter.¨ ¨I could have kept myself safe, so many centuries living away from civilization. How could you?¨ She cried, and now Morrigan talked lowly. ¨After what happened with the elven, neither of us could keep you safe, and it's not from whom, but it's to a when. You were young but now you are old enough to keep you and the ones you love away from harm's way.¨ She kneeled in front of Calipso, placing her fingers underneath her chin and bringing her eyes to her. ¨Now that you know who you are, you can still hate me, and believe me, I hated myself every day I wasn't with you. But now you can do anything you wish, my child. You will only need this.¨ She turned to Triton and nodded. Triton flicked his arms and the wall behind him opened. I screamed to him. ¨No!¨ In front of us, an altar appeared, beneath it, crouched underneath. My two wolves, one of the wolf's mates, another witch, and I couldn't put my finger on the last one, but the magic coming from him seemed entirely too familiar. Everybody stood still as Triton turned and looked behind him, his face in anger. ¨You insolent children, you come to my place of residence and spy on my personal conversations!¨ His hands were shooting lighting, and his eyes had become beams of light. ¨Triton.¨ Morrigan placed a hand on his arm. ¨Let them go.¨ I walked to the other side and put my hand on his other arm. ¨Brother, I would deal with my children later.¨ His chest was rising and lowering as Calipso stood up. ¨Children, go to your rooms now!¨ She commanded as they exited the altar and walked to the door. ¨I should remain, and I am no child.¨ The beta wolf, who was no longer a beta, tried to speak. Calipso put her hand up. ¨Unless you have lived a thousand years or more, I advise you wolf for your self-preservation to take your mate and get out.¨ She looked at the angry God who was hanging by a thread, and he looked at him too. He took a deep breath and nodded, grabbing his mate's hand and pulling her. Calipso turned to the other mereman in the room. ¨Hektor son, you should also go be with your mate. I will find you two when I finish.¨ He nodded too, and my other wolf, who was holding the other witch, handed her to the mereman who now I knew was my grand-nephew. ¨What do you expect me to do?¨Calipso broke the silence when the last of the children left. Morrigan turned to her. ¨That over there is my grimoire, only you and your bloodline is allowed to carry it, I put a hex on it that it was only yours. In it, you will find the answers to hexes you only dream of performing. For that, I only ask you one thing.¨ Calipso turned to Morrigan ¨And what is that?¨ Morrigan blinked with the coldness of her voice. ¨A beldam, for not only the elemental witches you now travel with but the last one that is still lost, together your powers would be unstoppable.¨ I cleared my throat, everybody was looking at me. ¨I know where this precise witch is stationed.¨ ¨Where?¨ Everybody asked, and I looked to my side. ¨The pack was already traveling towards there is in the eagle's country, and she is part of his tribe. ¨ Morrigan grasped my arm. ¨How do you now? How did you manage to speak to him?¨ I gave her a small smile, and with it, she knew. Calipso, who was looking at us, just waved her hands at us gods. ¨I accepted to travel with the pack and take the grimoire with me, but the beldam part I need time my gods, I need…¨ Her lungs left out a sigh. Triton now spoke. ¨And time shall you get my daughter.¨ I turned and walked to the door. ¨Where are you going?¨ Morrigan asked as I was about to apparate. ¨My work in this room is finished. I need to see two wolves and talk about the rudeness of spying on the Gods. Please excuse me, niece.¨ I bowed to my family and gave a smile to my niece. Two wolves I would need to speak to, but first, I would have to apparate to the unknown creature. ------------------------ ------------------------ ------------------------ ¨Mr. Zheng Wei or should I call you Hannuman¨ I was sitting on his bed as he closed his door. ¨Tell me, when did you decide to go on human?¨ He jumped as he heard my voice. ¨Selene...¨ He bowed and walked to the other side. ¨Hasn't anyone told you it is completely rude to go on mortal form and kidnap other God's quests.¨ He smiled at me. ¨I thought you would never find me. I even toned down my light this time.¨ Smiling, I stood up and embraced him. ¨How can I not find such a dear friend? Now tell me, why are you undercover, and what the hell are you doing in here?¨ He shrugged his arms. ¨Monkey business? Why I do anything is part of my nature. In fact, I wasn't supposed to be here. I stumbled upon the quest while I was working on destroying a freight ship that was illegally trapping my children and selling them to dark creatures so they could harvest their magic. That is the only way we can directly interfere.¨ I laughed, shaking my head ¨You have always been a hands-on God.¨ He raised his eyebrows, now turning to the sink and washing his hands. ¨Never dreamt of being anything less. I didn't ask to be a god. Now tell me, what have I stumbled upon?¨ I had met Hanuman not even a millennium ago as he helped me when there was a wolf hunting craze in the middle east. He goes mortal for sometime, goes back to his tribe and he always helps his people in a more direct way. Let's say there aren't that many mate-bonds inside the simians and ape community. Still, he was by far the most easy-going and loveliest God around. The difference between him and the rest of us. He lived a simple life, mostly always blending with his kind. He doesn't want worship , he doesn't want castles, realms or followers, he only wants the only thing that he can't have without putting his children in danger: a mortal life. That is one of the reasons my other siblings never knew about him. I sat back down on his bed and relayed everything to him. When I was finished, he looked into my eyes. ¨Sister as always, you shall keep my secret and in return. I would stay with the group undercover, always protecting them. When the time comes, and if it comes, I shall reveal myself.¨ It was smart. It was like having an inside man managing all of the kinds and steering them to where we needed them to go. I nodded. ¨I didn't expect anything less from you, my friend. Now I should take leave and bash a few rude wolves.¨ I apparated as he screamed. ¨Don’t be too harsh on them. Everyone needs monkey business to pass their time.¨
