Zeke slowly tried to open his eyes. He was confused as to why it was so difficult. Had a trick gone bad? He didn’t think so… at least he didn’t remember it, if it had happened. The gods knew it wouldn’t be the first time if it had. Zeke had been on the streets hooking, since the day he turned eighteen, and was kicked out of his last foster home. He had been in the system for most of his life. His parents had been killed in a house fire, and Zeke had been saved by one of the firemen, before he could meet the same fate as his parents.
