HE TRIED TO FINISH his works before five o'clock, but it turned out that he was disturbed by everything. So he decided to finish his work early, and went to Grimmer Anderson's—his best friend since junior year—place for a drink. He really need it. He drove his Lamborghini Veneno to Grim's house. Few moments later, he arrived. And Grim is not surprise to see him, since he often barge in for a drink. "Oh, hello there, Aly," Grim greeted him. He was the one who opened the door for him. "What's up?"  "f**k!" He fussed then loose a little on his necktie and unbuttoned the neck area of his suit. He quickly sat on the bar area. "Hey, stop cursing! Your goddaughter might hear you and woke her up," Grim scolded him. He walked to the bar area and prepared a drink for him. He prepared whiskey for him. "What's with the fuss, Aly?" "You won't believe me if I tell you, Grim," he replied and drink half of the whiskey. "Worst, you'll laugh your ass out if you I tell you." He knew how Grim will react if he told him about it.  Grim thought of something that made him gaze at Al. "You had s*x? You devirginized yourself? Wow! Congrats!" He said in excitement. "Finally, Aly! You de—" "What the f**k, Grim?" He cut him off. He shook his head in disbelief. He still couldn't believe that this is his best friend. How did they end up being best friends anyway? "It's not about that. F—it's worst than that." He couldn't say the f**k word when Grim gave him a not-to-curse-look. Grim rolled his eyes. "Cut the chase, Aly. Get straight to the point," he said. He was annoyed by Al's cursing. He doesn't want his daughter hear his godfather cursed, he believed that Al should be a role model, not a bad influence.  Grimmer Anderson is a single dad, his wife died after giving birth to their daughter. He doesn't have any plan on getting married, again. He just want all his attention to be focused by his daughter. Being a parent is partly hard, but he did it . . . After five long years being a parent, he did it quite well. Al abruptly sighed. "Attorney George barged into my office this morning and he allegedly told me that I am married. That I am married to this woman called Chryst Iane Hermosa. And I don't have any f—idea how I ended up being married!" He refill another whiskey on his glass. "And what's worst? She thought that I already fulfill my grandma's last will and testament!" Frustration is all over his voice. Grim couldn't believe his story. He knew Al since before and marriage is not on his list, and he doesn't have any plan on having s*x to someone. Yes! Alxander Gates is still virgin. And doesn't have a girlfriend, too . . . since birth. "That's insane!" That's all he can say for him. "Wait, what proof does she have about her allegation to you?" He asked him. "She showed me the cenomar, Grim." "Oh, that's really a hard proof for her allegation, Aly." "I know and that bothers me all day, Grim! Damn!" "Me too." Grim said then sighed. "By the way, what about Chairman Xandra's last will and testament? I thought you heard everything about it??" "There's one statement there that attorney didn't mention . . ." He took another drink before he explained everything to him. About his grandma's obsession in his marriage. "If it proves to that I am not married before I turned twenty-five, all that my grandma left me will be given to the chosen charity." Grim chuckled. "Chairman Xandra loves to mess you around. She really wrote that before she left this world," he said. "So what are you going to do, Aly?" Grim loves Chairman Xandra, he was treated as a family, too. And he knew that Chairman Xandra loves to mess with Al, since this is the only family that was left on her, especially on Al's marriage! She just want Al to be settled, she doesn't want her grandson left alone, when she dies. However, she is dead now . . . leaving her grandson alone in this world. But Grim knew that his best friend is a strong man. He can beat every single thing by himself. "I don't know, Grim," he replied, frustrated. He really don't know what to do. That's why he went to Grim's place, holding a little hope that he might help him on his problem.  "Man, it's like you're choosing between cookies n' cream and chocolate. You have to let go one of your favorite," Grim said. "And I'm really confused about you being married to... what's her name again?" "Chryst Iane Hermosa," he replied. "Oh, Chryst . . . Actually, she has a beautiful name. Maybe she's beautiful too," he said. Al gave him a poker face, which made him clear his throat. "By the way, d you know her?" He drank a little bit on his glass of whiskey. "Don't have any idea who that woman is, Grim," he replied. "It's really strange! I wouldn't be get drunk and got married in an instant. Like hell!" "Watch your mouth, Aly." Sometimes, Grim got tired of reminding him about his fetish mouth. He want him to gargle with the Holy water to make him stop cursing. "Yeah, it's strange, though. So, you asked attorney about her information? Like basic info," he said. "No, I didn't ask her." He sighed. "Sometimes I want hit you hard for being so stupid, Al." He quickly refill his glass with whiskey. "You should've ask her about your wife's info. So we can have a background check about her." Grim has a point. How could he not ask the attorney about her? If he did ask the attorney about it, maybe it's easy for them to have her a background check. Stupid, Al, he thought. Al's face lighten up when something came into his mind. "You're stupid too, Grim," he poke him. "What's the use of that Argus' Eyes of yours?" He gave him a smirk. Grim slightly pout. He thought that Al has a point. Argus' Eyes have all the information in every person in this world. But only, Grim can access this software. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Grim said and took the last drink before he left Al on the bar area. He went to his office to get his laptop and the Argus' Eyes chip, then went back to the bar area. "Okay, let's do this!"  Grim opened his laptop to start checking Chryst Iane Hermosa's background. And it's just a piece of cake for him, since he is a software developer and an I.T expert. He owns Grand Software Development, Inc. for Pete's sake. He opened the Argus' Eyes, through his laptop, and searched about Chryst Iane Hermosa. In seconds, the information was there in front of them. "She seems to be a simple woman that lives in the Philippines, Aly." He scrolled the info and was astonished by Chryst's beauty. "And I must say, she's pretty. Don't you think?" Al was too focused on the screen. And he found himself staring at Chryst's picture. She's beautiful. Her face was too innocent and timid. She has round face, a pointed nose and a rosy cheeks. And her eyes . . . she has a chestnut color. She has a pouty lips that suits her face. In short, she's a goddess. He never felt this way to a woman before. "Can you consider being married to her, Aly?" Grim asked him, again. He want him to laugh at Al's face. His reaction was priceless and he seems to like her wife. To tease his best friend more, he abruptly patted his shoulder that made Al startled. He laughed hard. "You are so drooling over your wife, Aly!" Grim cleared his throat. "N-No, I am not, Grim," he defend himself. He got annoyed when Grim laughed hard. "Shut up, Grim!" He was a hypocrite for his own feelings. He don't want to admit that she finds her so-called-wife beautiful. He never seen a woman who's beautiful as her. It looks like someone is going to change his mind and life plan. . . Chryst Iane Hermosa is from Cebu, Philippines. She is twenty-two years old. Born on September 12, 1997. She is a Physical Education teacher in one St. Benedict University in Cebu. She graduated as magna c*m laude batch 2017. Only child of Mr. Ian Hermosa and Mrs. Chrystal Hermosa. She is an orphan and her parents died in car accident last 2015. Al felt sad as he remember what was written on her information about being an orphan. He thought what her wife has been through and she doesn't have anyone to lean on. Just like him, she doesn't have any family members left. She's by herself. "What's your plan, Aly?" Grim asked Al. What's really his plan? To be honest, he doesn't have any plan yet. He's confused of his emotion right now. He pitied her for being alone and having no one at her side. He felt that he wanted to be there for her, specifically at her side. Strange, but that's what he felt right now. He sighed. "I-I . . ." He stood up, brought his drink with him then looked outside the window. He thought of something that he might be regretting. But he hopes he won't, when time comes. "Wha—" He looked at Grim. "I will get my wife, Grim. And take her home with me," he firmly said, cutting Grim off. Grim grinned widely enough. Finally, he thought. He was happy that her best friend finally likes someone. After his twenty four years if existence, Alxender Cooper Gates likes someone. He maybe cold, but he has a soft heart. "Are you sure about that, Aly?" Grim went besides Al. He did the same, he looked outside the window.  It took seconds before Al could say something. He was on his deep thought about his decision. His heart is too aggressive to meet her, while his mind wanted him to think it over. He just wanted to meet his wife in person. To know his wife's situation in the Philippines. He looked at Grim and nodded. It's now or never. His decision is final. He will meet her wife and bring her home with him.
