Isabels POV

-a month later-

It had been a month since I had join the pack and become its Luna. Some of the she wolves still gave me the stink eye. Any time one would around Beta Lilly she would chew their head off about disrespecting the Luna and by extension the Alpha. It always make me chuckle just a little when she did this because I knew we half eyed Tyler from time to time. Those two were funny. “Luna it’s so nice to see you” I heard a familiar voice behind me. Turning around I bow slightly as Kendra, Tyler’s mother, walked up behind us. “Luna Kendra it’s nice to see you too” I say and she holds up her hand. “Please just Kendra dear. I’m no longer the Luna you are” she said with a smile and it made me smile.

I kept walking until I got out of the build. I hadn’t told Tyler yet but I had been feeling the best lately. I think I knew why but I was going to see the pack doctor to just make sure. As I approached the pack doctor I saw Lilly walking past. I really didn’t want her to see me but too late. “You feeling ok Luna?” She asked as she walked up to me. I nodded “just a check up. I haven’t been feeling the best and want to make sure everything is ok” I say softly. Lilly giggles and opens the door for me. “Let me know how many” she comments before shutting the door behind me. How many?! I think to myself with eyes wide. Was it common for wolves to have more then one pup. Great I think as I approached the door. “Luna” the doctor bows as he opens the door for me. “Well I can already smell a positive “ he said touching his nose making me blush. “I thought I might be but I wanted to just get a check up” I say as I sit on the table. “I understand. Your wolf senses aren’t the best yet but I’m sure Alpha probably figured it out” he said with a chuckle and I chuckle too. He pulls out the machine and asks me to lift my shirt. He pours a small amount of the ultrasound jelly on my stomach and starts the exam. “Well it’s a positive for sure”he said pointing to the screen. I could see just tiny little bubbles on the screen. It looked like “congratulations Luna you are expecting triplets” he says and I feel light headed.

“Did you say triplets as in three” I say feeling wobbly. The doctor chuckles and nods at me. “Yes” he said handing me a copy of the ultrasound. I look at the pictures and smile.

A few minutes later I know on Tyler’s office door. “Come in” I hear Lilly call out. “Sorry if I was interrupting “ I say and Tyler smiles at me. “Lilly was just giving me the report on the rouge situation. It’s been increasing but still haven’t had any cross into our pack territory “Tyler says before lifting his head some. “What do you got there” he asks as Lilly giggles. “Those would be ultrasound pictures Ty” she said causing him to hit her. “I wanted Izzy to tell me not you” he said as he got up and crossed over to me. I hand him the pictures and he almost falls over “seriously?!” He asks and so nod. “Ok let me see” Lilly says grabbing the picture out of Tyler’s hand. She lets out a squeal and I’m pulled into a hug. “Congratulations you two” she says “triplets are exciting” she says giggling. She hands the pictures back to me before leaving.

Tyler was still leaned against his desk in thought. “Are you not happy” I ask feeling my smile fade. “No im very happy Izzy, I’m just in shock that we are going to have three pups” he said as he gently touches my stomach. “Hi babies” he said giving my stomach a kiss making me blush. I couldn’t wait to meet out little babies.

-6 months later-

Today was my 6 and a half month check up. I felt like I was going to pop any day now even though I knew I had at least two months to go. Tyler held the door as we walked into the clinic. Everyone was buzzing around and all smiled as we passed them. The whole pack was over excited for our babies to come. “Isabel you are glowing” the doctor said and I smiled. “Well doc I don’t feel like I’m glowing I feel like I’m going to burst” I say with a chuckle. Tyler helps me lay on the table and they pull up the ultrasound. “Well do you want to know what your having?” He asks. Did we want to find out or not yet I link to Tyler. “I want to know doc” he said and I smile. Last time we tried to find out but they wouldn’t cooperate with the camera. The doctor looks for a few moments moving it around my belly pushing gently. “Well baby C is a girl” he said showing us that it was a girl. He moved it around some more and smiles “baby A is a” he pauses and I thought Tyler was going to pull the computer away from him. “It’s a boy and baby B is also a boy. Congrats Alpha and Luna you are having two boys and a girl” he said smiling as us.

He gives us the pictures and we start our walk back to the pack house. “Your glowing Luna” I heard several times walking back. Tyler kept him arm around he protectively and never let anyone get to close. He was even a little cautious of Lilly getting to close and I bit his head off for that one.

“So what am I having? Boys or girl or both” Lilly says jumping out from behind the corner grabbing the pictures from me. I laugh as Tyler knocks her to the ground and growls before realizing it was Lilly. As I’m laughing I watch the two wrestle for a minute. I could feel the pups moving around and one kicks my hand. I smile and just look at my belly.

Tyler’s pov

As we walked into the house I let out a small sigh. Isabel was very pregnant and apparently the whole pack wanted to touch and see her all the time. I was constantly chasing everyone off saying to give the Luna her space. It was like they hadn’t seen a pregnant person before. As we approach a corner in the house someone jumped out and snatched the pictures out of Izzys hands and I jumped them. I then realized it was Lilly and she was laughing. We wrestled for a few moments and I could hear Izzy laughing at us. Getting up I see Izzy holding her stomach smiling. Ever since the pups started moving she would just stop and feel them moving around and smile. I walked over and place my hand next to hers. One of the pups kicked my hand and I beam. “So you have two boys and a girl” Lilly said snapping me out of the moment with Izzy. “Yup I guess we will have to hold an alpha trial when they come of age” I say with a smile. “Trial?” Izzy says almost looking concerned. “Don’t worry sweetie, it’s a trial of strength and wit. No one gets hurt.” I say “normally” Lilly chimes in and I hit her. “It’s like a normal sparing battle but who ever wins becomes alpha next” Lilly says and Tyler nods.

“Why don’t you go lay down beautiful “ I say as we ascend the staircase that lead to our room. Izzy nods and Lilly follows me. “Watch your step” she says to Izzy as we enter the room. “So... now that we know their genders can I help with the nursery” she asks giving me puppy eyes. I look to Izzy and she doesn’t really respond. “I guess Lil” I say with a sigh and she squeals before running out of the room. “You rest and I’ll be back soon” I say helping Izzy lay down before leaving the room.

-two hours later-

Alpha rouges are attacking! Harris mind linked me. I run down the stairs and towards the woods. Isabel was still laying down and I knew she would be safe. I hoped she would be safe. Lilly rouges are attacking I need you to hang near the pack house to make sure Isabel is safe I mind link Lilly as I shift.

Yes Alpha I won’t let anyone get past me she links back as I run to help my warriors.

Isabels POV

I yawn as I wake up from my nap. It was getting really hard to sleep the farther along I got. I strain a little to get up and walk towards Tyler’s office. His scent was barely there and I open the door to see he isn’t in. Ty? I try to link him but he doesn’t answer. I take a deep breath and walk down stairs. The smell of blood is covering the air and I stop in my tracks. Covering my mother I see a rouge wolf with Kendra in his mouth. I could tell by the way she was being held that he snapped her neck. I turned around and ran ,best that I could, towards Tyler’s office. I locked the door and went against the far wall. Tyler please answer me! They are in the pack house I link to him again and then I link to Lilly. Lilly they are inside the pack house. Please help me I’m really scared and I can’t reach Tyler. I begin to panic as I heard someone beating on the door. I knew I couldn’t change into my wolf to run away. Tyler taught me some basic self defense but that was going to be a lot harder with my giant stomach. I hold my stomach as the door caves in. “Oh Luna I know your in here” I hear a males voice call out as I slid under Tyler’s desk. I try to calm my breathing but it wasn’t working. I could feel something wasn’t going right with the pups. It was too early to go into labor but I knew stress could harm them some. Suddenly I felt a pair of hands drag me out from under the table. “So this is why the Alpha had you hidden” he smirked before throwing me against the wall. I felt some ribs bruise as I slid down. Thankfully it was my side I hit and not my stomach but I had a back feeling as the man approached me. “Pregnant Lunas are my favorite thing to kill. It kills lines and Alphas hearts” he said as he kicked my stomach sending me across the room in the other direction. I whimper as I feel the pain. My pups my beautiful pups. I try to get up and he throws me down and I land on my hands. I heard my wrist snap from how I landed. “Snap snap let see how many things I can break” he snickers as he comes towards me again. “Leave me alone” I say trying to use my Luna voice. “Ooh scary” he taunts me as he walks towards me again. “This time my wolf is gonna have a snack” he said as he shifts into a large all black wolf. I swallow and try to run out of the office. I nearly get to the door when I feel the pain from his teeth in my shoulder. He rips into it and throws me down the hall. I hit my head hard and feel like I’m in a daze. My stomach starts to get shooting pains as I’m slowly starting to black out. Suddenly I feel a wolf over the top of me. The blackness fills my vision as I fall onto the ground.

Lilly’s POV

I race up the stairs in my wolf form. The leader of these bastards got past me. I could smell blood as I ran up the stairs and horror filled my eyes as I saw Isabel on the ground bleeding. I jump over the top of her and growl at the solid black wolf. I fight with him snarling and snapping. We roll down the stairs before I get the upper hand. I manage to grab under his neck and ripped his throat out. Blood covers my coat as I turn and race back up to were Izzy was. My heart stopped as I looked over her injuries. She was bleeding from a bite mark on her shoulder and arm. Her right hand was covered in a dark black bruise. I shift and lift her shirt up to make sure her stomach has no bruising and I start to cry a little. There is a giant bruise forming on the left side of her stomach. I heard footsteps and I turn around to attack them. Then I see that it’s Tyler. He races to my side and scoops up Isabel and starts racing towards the clinic. Goddess please let those pups be ok I sob as I race after him. I grab the door and open it as he carries her in. The doctor doesn’t even wait and immediately takes her and rushes her back. “Sorry Alpha you have to say here” he says having a nurse hold him back. He walks over to me and I pull him into a hug. “I’m sorry Ty that bastard got past me while I was fighting three others.” I say and he just nods. I could see he was in a daze.

Tyler’s POV

I had just had the happiest day. Found out I was going to be a father to two boys and a girl. My mate was glowing and then the rouges attacked. Now I was sitting in the pack hospital with Lilly hoping they all made it. That I wasn’t going to lose my pups or my mate.

-five hours later-

I kept looking at the clock on the wall. It seemed to be passing very slowly. Suddenly a nurse appeared and walked towards me. “How is she are the pups ok?” I ask and she looks away taking a small breath. “Alpha, Luna Isabel is still fighting. She has some internal bleeding. We had to do an emergency c-section to deliver the pups. Two are in the NIcU and sadly we lost one. “ the nurse says and I sink into the chair. “Can we see the two pups?” Lilly asks and the nurse nods. I stand up and follow her down the hall. Isabel was still in surgery and one of our pups passed away. I walk into the nursery and see two incubators going with several lines hooked to them. I look inside the first one and see my baby girl wiggling around a little. I see the second one with my one little boy. “Can...” I was going to ask to see my third pup but the nurse just had known. She nodded and asked me to follow her. We went into a separate room where I got to hold my little boy. Tears fell down my face as I promise him that his death wasn’t in vane and I would find who ever planned this attack on my pack.

Lilly’s POV

I saw there with the two alive pups as alpha left. I could hear his sobs from the other room. I left like I failed him. The two pups in front of me were tiny maybe only about a pound each. I placed my hand on the incubator glass and cried. A male nurse came up behind me. It was the most intoxicating smell I had ever spelt before. He pulled me into his embrace and I just sobbed. He smelled like the woods and fresh linens. I just wanted to be held by him and as he held me I felt a little better. The man just stroked my head as I cried into him. “I have you beta” he said softly and it made me smile a little. “Thank you” I said squeezing him a little tighter.

“Alpha” he said pulling away for a second and bowing to him. Tyler nodded “can I touch them” he ask the male nurse. “It would be best if you didn’t just yet. They are very fragile right now and still weak. We hope soon that you can” the nurse said and Tyler nodded. I could see he was trying to be strong right now but nothing was working. I could see the tears swelling in his eyes as we stared at his two pups.

“Lilly, I’m sorry” he said after that nurse left. “ I’m sorry I wasn’t faster. I should have been there helping protect them” he said finally letting the tears fall. I held him close “I’m sorry this happened” I say crying with him.

I held him for about an hour before the doctor came into the room with us. “Alpha the surgery was a success. We found the bleed and stopped it. She should recover fully. I think you should come to her. We are keeping her in a medical coma right now to make sure there are no complications” the doctor said as Tyler stood. “Watch my pups” he said to me and I nodded.

Tyler’s POV

I followed the doctor down the hall and into Isabels room. She was all hooked up to several machines. I rush to her side and kiss her head. “I’m so sorry my sweet. I failed you” I say to her. I could feel her pain but I could tell that be being near was helping. I climb up on the bed and lay my head against her chest. How was I going to tell her that one of her precious pups died because of the attack. I hold her gently but also has tight as I could. I wasn’t going to let her out of my sight ever again.
