Constance             I drifted off in Gabriel’s arms.             The night had been long, and the morning exceptionally rough and not at all the way I had planned it to go.             Obsidian was going to prove to be our most critical ally if we could just get him on our side.  Without him, I felt like we didn’t even stand a chance.  Even with Raphael on our side, Obsidian was most definitely the alpha, the one who called the shots and ultimately the one who would either see us hanged, or help us prevail.             I was sure glad Gabriel had gotten there when he did.  I know Raphael had done everything he could, but it just hadn’t been enough.  At least not without putting his life in even more risk and endangering whatever good was left to his name.  This, my presence, had been
