I tried to relax the muscles in my neck. Damn I hated the paperwork that came with running a pack. The knock on the door of my study came as a relief. Let there be something where I can stretch my legs and have a workout. I prayed to the moon goddess. ," I yelled, waiting for my Beta to present himself. Coal was my best friend and confidant, looking at the smirk he gave me at least it was something I was going to enjoy. I was hoping you would be up for some combat training with the rest of the warriors Alpha, unless you rather finish up here of course. His blue eyes sparkled with the humour of his question as he knew the answer. Finally, I was waiting for you to come save me I muttered under my breath while quickly jumping up and pushing him to the door.
With my 28 wolf years old I wasn’t made for all this sitting work, but it had to be done. As the Alpha warrior of the royal pack I had the duty to keep the pack save and running until we could locate the true heir. So I was stuck with it all until this magical heir that nobody had even seen appeared. My father the late Alpha of the royal pack told me that I would know who it was when I would run into them. But after all these years of waiting I got a bit sceptical and stopped searching for the heir of the pack lands.
I looked at my best friend and beta who was walking quickly Infront of me, I was as silver as he was dark. The two greatest warriors of the pack lands, I couldn’t wait to kick his ass again. I grinned as we got to the clearing where the entire group off warriors was waiting for the training to begin. They greeted us by giving a small nod and showing a bit of their neck in submission. Even if they couldn’t best me or Coal they were the most feared group of warriors of all the packs. And we often went out to keep the peace between packs on the brink of war. All big wolfs ready for a fight whenever it would happen.
Can’t wait to see if you can win this time… or are you forfeiting already I teased my friend. Even though he was my equal in height and muscle my Alpha wolf had gifted me with more stamina and strength in a fight and as one of the strongest warriors in the pack lands I was feared by many. Are we fighting as wolfs or human form Coal asked already stripping down showing of his muscled form. Wolf I answered but not after the Deadman’s run I yelled at the warriors around me. pick a sparring partner and fight after you cleared one lap.
Stripping down fast I let my body change and leap off. zipping between the trees and swimming a part upstream. I could feel the joy of running outside buzz through my Wolf body. Finally some freedom after all that goddamn paperwork. I could feel Coals black wolf follow me closely, and I put in some extra effort so he needed to push himself to keep up to my silver coloured wolf. Running deeper into the woods I let my wolf senses lead the way picking up on small changes in our territory.
As soon as I sensed an unknown Wolf in our territories I skidded to halt. The wolfs that had run behind me almost bumped into each other but my warning growl made them back up and wait for orders, quickly picking up that our training shifted in a real situation. In the back of my mind I could feel them quickly move into their position in the pack ready for anything that might jump out and protect the group with teeth and claw.
we have an intruder I mind linked my warrior pack. split up in groups of three and run an extra patrol on the border. Until we find out what it is don't assume anything. Yes Alpha I heard.
Funs over Alpha. Cole was standing in his Beta position at my right flank. Do you want to investigate yourself? I nodded and tried to focus on where my instinct was leading me. it was as if.it was tempting me to come closer. Calling me over and asking me to hurry. I started to trot along our border using my nose and ears to guide me further and further. Up ahead was a little clearing and stream on the edge of our border and there I saw her.
