The door creaked open as Zephyr walked in with two bottles of water. He approached Aiden who was having a conversation with the nurse beside the patient's bed. “Here,” Zephyr said, handing one of the bottles over to Aiden. “Thanks,” he received the bottle and placed it on the table. Zephyr glanced at the nurse and back at the man. The man's eyes were drawn. “So, what was it?” Zephyr asked. His gaze lingered on Aiden's face, noting the deep lines etched into his forehead, the tightness around his eyes. A chill ran through his nerves. His heightened senses picked up the clues quickly. Whatever it was, wasn't going to be good. "We got the results from the CT scan," Aiden said. “There's a foreign object inside the patient's body, and it looks like a surgical sponge.” His voice lowered,
