Minutes went by quickly, but the entire time Zephyr sat still, unmoving, thoughts scrambling for an answer, a way out of the trap he had set himself in.
Heart curled around his eyes, tears threatening to spill but he held them back. It’s true what they said, when one has broken a promise, it becomes too hard to keep it a secret; they just keep going until the secret they were meant to protect comes to light.
