Zephyr's eyes fluttered open, met with Ray of morning sun gleaming down on him. He was seated on a pavement under a large tree planted outside Sylvia’s home, back reclined on the hard stem of the tree. His mind stirred. Memories of everything that happened last night flooded in. The training. The last words Aiden said to him before leaving. Zephyr exhaled a soft breath. Last night after Aiden left, he couldn’t return home. He couldn’t drop by Jason's home either since he had cut ties with him. There was nowhere else to go but here. He recalled the taxi ride, also the last thought on his mind.
