Pain burned through Zephyr’s hands, but it was nothing compared to the scene playing before him. His chest tightened, breaths shallow and ragged, his gaze fixed on nothing in particular. Across him, Ryker lounged with an air of arrogance, one arm draped over the chair, his lips curled in amusement. His voice cut through the heavy silence. “What are you waiting for? Go on already.” His eyes flickered to Iris, dark with twisted pleasure. “Kneel and beg for forgiveness, and maybe, just maybe, I won't tell my father about it.” Zephyr's fists clenched tightly, his nails dug into his palms.
