Zephyr groaned, a yell threatened to rip through his lips, but he held it in. Memories of Jason’s words from earlier flashed across his mind. 'You’re inexperienced Zephyr. At this rate you’d be cheated in life, or worse dead.' The flame burning in his chest ignited. Gently, he tucked his phone from his side pocket. His fingers hovered over Aiden’s phone number. Aiden had promised to teach him a more enhanced method of tracking down anyone he wanted to find, a skill that was only taught in the bayou. He’d turned the man down earlier. Aiden had demanded a price; granting him one thing he wished for. Zephyr’s breath caught in his lungs. One click and he will get his ticket to never allowing what played out here repeat itself, but he could also be risking a secret, something he never wanted
