Mistaken Identity
Bailey Bank and Trust
The bank manager, Mr. Lawrence, walked up to Kiki. "Kiki? Listen, I know it's not your job, but Miss Phoenix has not returned from lunch, and that customer has been waiting at her desk. Would you mind going over there and helping him out?"
Kiki looked over her shoulder at Peyton's desk at the man waiting there. She turned back to Mr. Lawrence. "Of course," she said. And knowing what he wanted to hear, she added, "The customer is always first." She smiled politely and went to Peyton's desk. She extended a hand to greet the customer then sat down.
A few seconds later, with sudden ferocity, the double glass doors flung open and crashed into their door frames. Four masked men charged in, each holding a sawed-off shotgun. "Nobody move!" one scream
