Lucian’s POV
“You sent her flowers.”
Liam’s voice drips with irritation as he glares at me. I meet his stare evenly, then give a slow nod.
“Why?” he demands.
“Why not?” I counter. “Aurora is our mate, Liam. You know it as well as I do. We should start treating her like it.”
He scoffs, turning away, but I press on. “I mean it. You remember what the Moon Goddess told us.”
“What if it’s all a lie?” His jaw tightens, eyes narrowing. “What if she isn’t the one who can cure us?” He drags a hand through his hair, frustration rolling off him in waves. “I hate that she has leverage over us. I f*****g hate it.”
I lean back, watching him pace. “That’s our fate now. She’s our only cure. We need to start treating her well. I know she has a fiancé, and I—”
“I don’t think those two are in love,”
