What the hell is taking Aurora so long?
A heavy, uneasy feeling settled in my gut. I couldn't just sit here anymore. I stood up, deciding I needed to go check on her.
“Where are you going?” Lucian asked, his eyes tracking my sudden movement.
“It is none of your business where I am going,” I snapped back at him.
“If you are going to check why Aurora hasn’t come back yet, I will go with you,” he said, standing up.
I rolled my eyes. “I don’t need you to come with me.”
I turned and walked away, but I could hear his heavy footsteps following close behind me. As I hurried down the corridor, someone suddenly crashed right into me, the force of the collision causing her to stumble and fall to the floor.
