“Here, drink this. My treat,” Aaron said, sliding a glass across the table toward me.
“I don’t need your drink,” I muttered with blatant irritation, shoving the glass right back in his direction.
“Come on, I need to thank you in some way,” he chuckled, leaning back. “I mean, Damon and Emette have broken up! I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be so easy, and it’s all because of you.”
“I didn’t do it for you,” I snapped, glaring at him.
