Jess studied what the Wanderer had detected as the Limited ships entered jump space. He could feel Ali doing the same, and Clay sat on the flight deck with them viewing the same information via a set of screens. With no prospect of needing to launch in his fighter Clay had finally clambered out of it.
“Well that’s a real good news bad news situation,” said Clay. “The good news is that every single Limited ship has followed. The bad news is they’ve managed to do it quicker than we’d hoped.”
“They’re barely fifteen minutes behind our fleet,” said Ali. “Our ships will need to drop out of jump space three more times. The Imperials could shave two or three minutes off the lead each time if they’re that efficient.”
