Epilogue
Dark days followed the sacrifice by Jess, Ali, and the Wanderer, but that sacrifice prevented far darker times. Slowly it became clear that the threat of the Limited had truly been eliminated, but the chaos caused by the splintering Imperial forces and massive damage to jump space impacted everyone.
Dash became Commander Dash, signifying leadership of civilians as well as military forces. He led the fight for stability and peace although, too often, both had to be paid for in blood. He held together much of the fleet he’d led, and slowly turned it into a coordinated and disciplined force.
