14 Lucien crawled through the darkness of the Skater, repeatedly running into obstacles he didn’t think should be there. He had no idea whether he was just off course or it was a sign of massive damage to the ship. If there was just some light, any light at all, he would be able to tell… but there was none. The ship was frequently shaken by heavy strikes but the sound he heard between those was what truly chilled his soul… the soft hiss of escaping air. He was convinced he’d got completely turned around, or had somehow ended up on a totally different ship, when he edged past an obstruction and saw a dim light ahead. Not just any light, the glow from an escape pod. It was only in that light that he realised how badly damaged the ship was. Jagged metal and shards of plastic poked out
