7 Sal sat staring at the walls of the cabin she and Dash had been given aboard the Spindrift. At first it had felt large, Admiral North had given them one of the biggest cabins on the ship. Now, though, the walls seemed to be closing in. Dash had left an hour before. Admiral North had asked for his help and Sal had eventually convinced Dash that she’d be fine on her own. She was starting to realise just how wrong she’d been. She was as scared of leaving the room as she was of staying in it, probably more scared. The thought of all the people aboard the Spindrift, all the people who she could never have a proper connection with now Unity was gone, terrified her and drove home just what she had lost. All those people and she’d have no idea what they were thinking or what their plans
