AMELIA Colin Dane left right after. Ryden made me stay and promised me a home-cooked meal. “We didn’t get to eat the pizza.” I helped him cut some veggies for a salad while he braised steak on the skillet. I felt normal suddenly, forgetting about my power and the threat for a while. Somehow, I also felt close to him, and there was this feeling that I could trust him with my life and my heart.
