Chapter 6 Eloise Brooke "The discharge papers are ready, so you can go home now." "Wait here. I'll be back." Justin patted my hand before leaving the ward. He came back five minutes later, holding a plastic bag. "Here is your medication. The prescriptions are written at the back." I wished I could stay here longer even after three days of being on bed rest. My stomach twists at the mere thought of going back to stay in the same house as that wretched man, but I didn't have a choice. At least not yet. "Thank you for taking care of me. I'll repay you when I can." "It's fine, Eloise. I'm glad you are fine now." He smiled. My grip tightened around the bag as I turned to leave. "Do you mind if I drop you off?" I paused and bit my lip hard before turning to him. "It's fine,Justin. I'll find my way home." "Alright." He nodded. I was glad he didn't press on. Lucas was a crazy bastard. I didn't want him to embarrass Lucas. "Eloise..." I paused. "Call me if you need anything." He handed me his card. "Thank you." I muttered, thrusting the card into the plastic bag. "I'll be on my way now." I took a cab home. "We are here, Ms." Disappointment coursed through me as the driver pulled called my attention. We had arrived at Lucas's house. "Thank you," I paid him and alighted from the car, proceeding inside. Lucas rose to his feet the moment I stepped inside the living room. His eyes blazing with fury as they glared hard at me. "Where the hell are you coming from, Eloise?" I paused. This is it, Eloise. My stomach churned with disgust as my eyes met his. Those eyes I used to find charming, now made my skin recoil with disgust. My heart that used to flutter at mere sight of him, was suddenly twisting disgustingly with him around me. "I am talking to you, Eloise! Where the f**k have you been?!" And his voice which used to sound so soothing to me no matter how harsh he was, became a thorn in my flesh and ears. "You disgust me, Lucas..." I spat, a drop of tears slid down my cheek. His face went pale. "What?" He closed the distance between us, his jaw tightened, eyes bored into mine, but I didn't flinch. Not once did I. "I curse the day I met you, Lucas." For the first time, I told him what I should've said to him long ago. His jaw dropped. Even whenever he treated me badly then, I always looked for a way to judge his actions. 'He was just angry. He is not a bad person. I pushed him to the wall' Even when I did nothing wrong and he treated me badly, I was so in love with him that I always ended up defending him. It was crazy, but I guess you'll only understand if you were ever madly in love with someone. "Eloise!" His loud voice made my heart skip, but I didn't flinch as I stared daringly into his eyes. "I had a miscarriage, Lucas... I f*****g lost our child, and..." I paused and huffed, not knowing what to say. Being pathetic? That was the last thing I wanted, but f**k it! It was hard to hold in all my emotions and pretend nothing happened. It was difficult to hold everything in. I've been holding it in for long, and I could no longer do it. I tried to. I really did try to. "Eloise!" I threw him a disgusting glare before leaving for our room. "I am not done talking! You don't walk out on me while I'm talking!" He followed me inside and held my arm roughly once he caught up with me, but I yanked his hand off. "What do you think you are doing? Who the hell are you to talk to me in that manner? You think you are still that spoilt princess?" He yelled at the top of his lungs. I ignored him and walked over to the closest where my clothes were. After I brought down my suitcase, I started to arrange my things inside, and I heard him scoff. "What? Are you going to divorce me now? Are you going to leave my house now?" His question made me stop, and I bit my lip. "Do you think you have someone to run to? You don't have anyone, Eloise... I am the only one you have. Do you think leaving will do you any good?" He reminded me, and my hand dropped beside me, my lips trembled, and tears blurred my vision. He was right. I had no where to go yet. "I am moving out of your room, Lucas. I can't sleep on the same bed with a monster." I turned to him and spat once I was done packing, and with that, I exited the room and slammed the door hard behind me...
