3 1/2 weeks until the audition

Jaiden returned home and unpacked. Jaiden took a shower and got ready for work. The audition was getting closer. Jaiden had her routine down. She just needed to pick her song. Jaiden was having the hardest time figuring it out. She practiced with a few songs, but couldn't figure out which one she would pick.

Jaiden narrowed it down to 3 options: Def Leppard- Poor some sugar on me, Halestorm- I get off or Marilyn Manson's version of sweet dreams. She was leaning towards sweet dreams. Jaiden practiced with that song quite a bit and her body moved with the beat of the music smoothly.

Feeling completely ready and comfortable with her song choice, Jaiden went to work. As she walked in, Mr. Johnson asked to talk to Jaiden in his office. Mr. Johnson just wanted to see where Jaiden was at with the audition. Jaiden told him she was 100% ready. Mr. Johnson was happy to hear that.

The week went by quickly. Jaiden and Doug went to the beach and met friends for a fire and a party. Jaiden was happy for the break from practicing for a night. Doug brought over some drinks for himself and Jaiden. Jaiden unfortunately ran into the snotty girls from her high school and internally groaned. Jaiden sat with Doug, Nikky, Taylor, Heather Brandon and Doug's buddies Jake and Steve. Stephanie, the head b***h herself, came over and tried to flirt with Doug. When he wouldn't give her the time of day, she tried with Jake and Steve with no luck.

Stephanie looked at Jaiden and called her out for being a looser bartender. Heather, Nikky and Taylor laughed and told Stephanie"Jaiden makes more in one weekend than you do and she doesn't have to lay on her back." Stephanie was livid at them calling her a hooker. Stephanie remembered how Jaiden used to dance in high school, and asked Jaiden if she still danced.

Jaiden answered occasionally, why? Stephanie challenged her to a dance competition and whoever won got Doug. Jaiden accepted knowing she would win. Doug asked Jaiden "are you sure?" Jaiden nodded and told them to play what's your fantasy by ludacris. She still remembered her old routine from high school.

Jaiden let Stephanie go first and she chose the song s*x on the beach. Jaiden thought desperate much. When Stephanie was done everyone clapped and only her group cheered. Jaiden began as soon as the music started and the crowd was already cheering. When the song ended, Doug brought her something to drink and kissed her passionately.

Jaiden looked at Stephanie and smiled. Stephanie stomped away with a pissed off look on her face saying she was way hotter than Jaiden how did she win. Now that the high school drama was over, they could get back to the party. The night was perfect and beautiful. Jaiden and her friends sat by the fire and chatted and joked. Jaiden hopes it stays this way even after the audition in a few weeks.

Heather and Brandon told Jaiden that they forgot she could dance like that and she should do it professionally. Doug, Nikky and Taylor all laughed. Jaiden elbowed Doug in the side and Heather and Brandon gave questioning looks. Jaiden just told her friends she has been thinking about it for a while.
