ARES'S POV My mind was racing, and my heart was thundering. A date. She had taken the initiative and asked me to hang out with her, whatever that meant. I was honest with her; I didn't find much joy outside of work. Work was where I felt most productive and where I was in control. I never felt out of place when I was working.
