FOR A SPLIT second, Edward is lost for words.
“How can we be certain of your statement? What if you’re just making things up? And I tell you, Ethan Devon, if you’re lying about this fact—it won’t put you on a good note. So, I ask this of you, only tell the truth from now on.” Edward mentioned, not wanting to appear taken aback with the information he just learned of.
As much as possible, the lead detective wanted to be professional with the interrogation going on. Due to the difficulty faced in solving a single case, there are times that detectives would be too much for the witnesses; making them act beyond their control.
