RAE’S POV

Slowly opening my eyes I heard the faint beeping of a heart monitor, stiffness consumed me. The cold sterile air burned my throat as I took deep breathes remembering the events of the last night. Was it last night? How long has it been?

Where is my baby?! Kota? Silence rippled around me making my heart beat quicken. Kota I screamed in my mind, where is she? What have we done. This was a mistake. I need to find Dylan I can smell her faintly but it’s not strong enough for her to be as remotely close as I need her to be to me. Biting my cheek from the ache in my bones I throw the customary white hospital blanket off off my legs, turning myself and placing them on the floor I hear a click of a door opening. I shoot my head in the directional the door and meet with brown eyes, 6 foot, and white lab coat. Hmm the doctor I presume. “ where. Is. My. Baby?” The venom is seeping out of my voice. He looks terrified. Not sure why he has Atleast a good foot on me, and muscles that look like they would rip through the thin white coat if he turned the wrong way. “ uh.. just let me..” he stuttered. I guess I gave the look of I am waiting.. “ she is okay, she is fine in the nursery. Yeah with the other pups. How are you feeling miss?” I see his eyes glaze over, to which only pisses me off more. Something switches inside me and the growling in my chest is only making him look even more scared. Standing I rip the lines and monitors from my body and I can feel Kota has broken through and is at the surface. “take me to my pup NOW mutt” sharing control at the same time I stalk towards him. He tried to block my way to the door. But before he gets his hands on me I grab his left arm bringing his stomach down on my knee. Before he doubles over I head butt him and shove his body behind mine. Opening the door I see about a dozen women in scrubs wide eyed frozen in place. At this point I can faintly feel the cold air on the back of my thighs. Great I’m basically naked. Looking back up I growl loudly to ensure they stay back and walk out of two double doors leading to the dark outside. I can smell her. She isn’t far. Grab her and we will run. Hopefully they have something I can tie around myself shifted to keep her warm.

Bare foot I race to another building not far from the doors I just walked through. I can feel the cold prickle my feet but my body is so over come with anger It does little to slow me down. Her scent in strongest as I swing the doors open- but empty. Focusing on the sounds around me, I can hear a heavy foot crunching on the rocks and dirt. I hide knowing whoever it is will be able to smell me, but I want to be able to surprise them. But they stop and start walking back the way they came. Faster this time. I swiftly race out of the building following the scent of my baby, but wait that’s not her. She smells clean- flowers and rain on a hot day. This smells like.. oh god it smells amazing. Kota is whimpering in my head but I have to focus, taking a sharp turn around a building trying to find something or someone. Kota is now freaking out clawing at the surface, and I’m so confused it’s hard to keep her at bay. Grabbing my head while running trying to get a hold on myself and Kota, I don’t even see the brick wall of a man I end up slamming myself into. Sh** mate

BELLAMY’S POV

Tingles erupt everywhere on my body she has hit. Axle is going crazy crying mate over and over again. Mark her now! Axle roars loudly. Shut up you be oaf. Can’t you see she is literally having a break down. Plus she’s the rouge. He snarled at my rouge comment but I have to block him out and figure out what the heck in going on. Holding her at arms length, tight grip on the tops of her arms I look at her. She’s beautiful. Dark brown hair reaching to the middle of her back. The tips dyed bright red, her eye are what make me gasp- green and purple swirling together. Not normal for a she wolf. But beautiful none the less. Reality comes back to me as I hear Zac round the corner with four warriors, “ Alpha, she’s the rouge. We will take her from here.” He goes to reach for which brings Axle to the surface breaking through my block. “Mine” I yell out pulling her close to me. Making Zac back up wide eyed as realization hits him. He pushes the other warriors back mind linking them to leave. Zac is mated to my sister, pretty newly I might add. So he knows my possessiveness is hitting an all time high, especially with her being have naked. “ get her some da** pants NOW.” I roar through our mind link. Nodding his head he rushes to the pack house. “ get Andie too” I add. All the while she is silently crying but not moving. Looking down I see her eyes have changed to a light purple no green swirling in them. “what is your name?” I say softly and she tenses. “where is Dylan?!” She bits back. Now I pissed who is Dylan? She’s mine. I growl “ doesn’t matter.” This flips something in her and she punches me right in my nose. Letting her go and grabbing my nose she turns to run making it only a couple of feet before Andie is right in front of her.

“ You! You know where Dylan is tell me now!” She roars pretty impressively, she’s gonna make a good Luna. Axle purrs in my head. Not a good time man. Shaking my head I walk over to them. My mate has taken a fighting stance in front of my sister who is holding her own, her eyes hold a sadness for my mate and it pisses me off. “ she mine Andie” i forcefully shove into her mind. Looking up at me giving me confused, and then angry eyes she start to walk away. What the he** ?! My mate takes off after her with a quickness. But I’m rooted to the spot they left me. So many emotions are running through my mind. I’m not sure how long I stand there by myself. The anger and hurt is flowing through me. How could she just walk away? She is the other half of my soul. I the other half of hers. Go after her you i***t. Axle pushes me forward. I follow her scent up and into the pack house. He scent runs all the way up the stairs and to the fourth floor. My floor. Confused I race up the stairs as fast as my human body will allow, she’s in my room? Reaching the door I can hear Andie and Zac and my mate. The word baby and I love her anger me and I slam the door open startling everyone. Including the baby nestled in my mates arms. The pup starts to cry and my mate shushes the child walking them around my room. Zac and Andie are giving me a disappointing look just shaking their heads . Walking further in the room, closing the door I’m smacked in the face with the alluring scent of my mate. But something new was added to it now, rain and flowers. The combination ultimately brings me to my knees.

“ what is going on, please tell me.” Looking at everyone. Getting over how broken their Alpha sounds, Zac helps me up and sits me on the couch in the middle of my room.

I watch my mate, I wish I knew her name. I guess I said this out loud because the next thing I know I hear the most beautiful voice.

“ Rae” she says softly as she lays the baby in the middle of my bed. Standing there with her hands clasped together she is looking at me, finally with the eyes of someone meeting their mate for the first time. Looking at me with awe I repeat her name back to her, a small smile plays on her lips. “ I’m Bellamy.” I replied back to her mimicking her smile. Finally it hits me. “ wait she is the rogue?” Her smile falls.

“ okay so what is a rouge? By the way you are saying it, it seems its not a good thing.” She says louder this time.

Andie walks to stand between us putting her hands up, trying to calm the situation.

“ okay, okay first of all” she gives me a deadly look “ stop calling her that. That isn’t something you call your mate Bel, second of all” turning to Rae “ rouge is just a term packs use for a lone wolf- one with out a pack.” Reality seems to hit Rae and she slowly starts to shake her head. “ oh okay.. we’ll then yes a rouge is what I am.” She adds sadly. She sinks down to the floor her back against my bed. Our bed Axle barks at me but I ignore him. She might not even wants us. She has a child..

“ Alpha, Rae is the she wolf that breached our borders last night. She and the child.” Zac breathes out trying to use his words carefully to not set off either of us. Or his own mate. Rae looks to Andie with Thankfulness “ I handed you Dylan.”

“ yes you did. Rae who was that you were running from?” Rae grabs her knees and let’s her head fall. A sob falls from her beautiful mouth echoing through whole room. Andie falls to her knees placing her hands on her arms rubbing back and forth to calm her. Slowly I stand and walk towards her. Whoever she was running from hurt her I can hear it. Kneeling down I place my hand on her small head. “ you are safe, both of you.” She looks up to me tears in her eyes and it breaks me. Axle is going insane in my mind wanting to find whoever it is and end their lives. Brushing a tear away I ask her a question that has been killing me “ Rae do you know who I am? Do you know what a mate is?” Surely her wolf has told her or her parents. Surprising me she laughs a hard laugh “ yes I know you are my mate. But apparently he was too.” She pushes herself up with the heels of her hand. I move slightly but not too far. Me and my wolf can’t take it. She stands and her head is only to my chest. “ mates meet at 21, blah blah. I get it I do I feel what I am feeling what you are feeling.” 21? What I’m so confused. “ no not 21- 18 you meet your mate at 18.” I shake my head at her. Looking into her eyes I can see wheels turning. Shes figured I’m something out. A loud snarl comes from within her chest, Andie and Zac sink away from us. Shes powerful. Axle is so happy. I would be so turned on right now if everything wasn’t so messed up. “ 18?! Oh wow well that’s just peachy isn’t it. He lied!” Now she is pacing she mumbling to herself I can’t really make it out but she is pissed. And suddenly I can feel her it’s not possible. Not with out mating and marking but I feel her anger and it rippling through me. I want to rip something to shreds

Andie walks to Rae and Zac walks to me. Trying to calm us down. Nothing is working. That is until the smallest of coos gets our attention snapping both of our head and eyes to the bed. “ Dylan oh baby.” Rae calls softly bringing both of our rages to a halt. My heart swells with love and pride for my mate and our child. Our pup my wolf agrees in the lost lovingly tone I have ever heard from him. My mate moves from the bed with the child in her arms. Turns from us all and I can smell the faints scent of sweet milk. Then it dawns on me me she’s feeding the pup.

Rubbing her face with one hand holding the pup with the other she sighs.

“ I met Andrew when I was 16.. he was older, I’m not exactly sure. But he told me I was his mate. That he loved me I didn’t even know about mates. My wolf told me what she could but I got her when I was 12- and I was alone. Long story short he told me 21 was the age you meet your mate. It was really great at first, I had someone. I don’t have anyone I never have.” I growled. She had me now. My pack and nothing was going to take her from me. I swear to the goddess. She gave me a sympathetic look. “ I was abandoned- left for dead or foster care what ever came first. I lived on the streets until Kota came and helped me shift and hunt food. I was a freak then. The changing eyes the magic” “ magic” all three hits of us looked at her like she had 2 heads. She didn’t even miss a beat though continuing her speech. “ it doesn’t matter” she said sheepishly “ he took me to his home, an old trailer back in some woods about 5 hours run I think from here. Drugs and drinking was most of the time. Then the- well then I woke up at 21 not mated, and then I was chained to a tree.” Her eye swirled and she stopped talking she wasn’t telling us something but I didn’t have the heart to push her for it. My heart hurt I could feel her emotions and she was sad and terrified. Axel was whining again. So much so I let a whimper put myself.

Zac stood dumbfounded. Head whipping between all of us like we were missing something.

“ are we all going to ignore that she just said magic, like it was normal?! That’s not normal” turning to Rae he pointed his finger at her. “explain” backing up from his accusing tone I could feel her freaking out and looking to the door. Before I can register what I’m doing I have Zac by the neck and he is slammed against the wall.

“ who do you think you are beta?! Huh she is your Luna! My mate how dare you question her!” I’m shaking the room with how loud i am screaming in his face. He’s turning blue and I can just barely hear Andie screaming and crying behind me. Then all of a sudden she touches me. Just a small hand placed on my bicep, but it’s enough to take my breath away. She doesn’t look scared, determined is more like it.

“ Alpha Bellamy please, it’s okay.” Her voice is like a song, a lullaby calming me. I let him slip to the ground, And just stare at her. Still holding Dylan the perfect mate, mother and Luna.

“ I thought it was normal. But if you must know I will show you.”

I’m in for one hell of an amazing ride, I know that for sure.
