"I can't believe this....no matter what we try, more and more people just keep dying...and we're no closer to finding out who's doing this.."Detective Cooper said, coming back into the station. That crime scene had been a doozy, but they found nothing. Just like all the others. The only blood there was the victims, like they'd all been taken by surprise. But the level of rage was getting more and more intense with each victim. "Cooper...you're gonna want to see this..." the captain called out to her as soon as she and her partner hit the door. Moving quickly to the Captain's office, he shut the door behind them. There was a television set, hooked up with an old DvD player. He turned on the video, revealing a light-skinned girl with thick, curly dark hair cascading to her back. She had a look in her eyes, one that Molly Cooper had seen too many times in this job. A dead, emotionless look, one that was borderline psychotic. But also, something that looked familiar. Very faint, but she'd definitely seen this girl before.
"Hello Miss Cooper, I'm betting you're running around not knowing if you'll ever find this supposed killer that is terrorizing your city.... " The unknown girl took a moment to laugh before picking up the camera and she disappeared from the video feed. The camera now faced two teens, a boy and girl who were bloodied pretty badly and looked terrified for their lives. They were bound with their hands behind their backs facing away from one another. "Please Help us...she's insane...she's been the one-..." the video cut back to the female. It seemed she was pointing something at them to keep them quiet. "These two...they are much more feisty than the past ones...have you figured it out yet Cooper?...the reason that i'm doing this...i'm sure you can figure it out if you look...i've pretty much spelled it out for you...but the longer you take...the more that will die....i might pay a visit to that beautiful new baby of yours, and that husband....you'll find these two at midnight, outside of the apartment building on 71st street...good luck, maybe you'll find them in time...." She took a moment to pause and then looked back with a wicked grin and a shake of her head. "But your track record hasn't been the greatest so far....have a nice day Miss Cooper..." She spoke, malice lacing her words before the video went black.
"We've already sent officers to your address and your husbands work....what do you make of this Cooper?..." the captain said. "She clearly knows you if she was bold enough to reveal her face...we thought we'd been looking for a man this whole time..." Braves added in, running a hand through his hair. How had they missed all of these signs? Now their M.O. would have to be redone to fit this new woman. Detective Cooper hadn't said a word, she was replaying everything in her head that was said, trying to rack her brain for the grudge that she could've caused. Thinking back to the bloody note on that wall of the last crime scene and then this video. And how familiar this girl looked. Blinking a couple of times, Molly Cooper stood up, a bad feeling in her stomach. "Where are you going..." Braves called after her. "You all get to that apartment now...we may be able to save those kids....i've got a hunch that i'm hoping is wrong..." She called back before heading into the elevator. In order to be 100% sure, she would have to run her own DNA through the system. Her first Daughter's DNA would be there from the foster agencies, but they would find out if she had a record, which should give them a picture of what she would've looked like as an adult now. Molly was just hoping that she was very wrong.
"Detective, i haven't finished processing the DNA yet from the crime scene..." the med tech spoke as soon as she hit the lab. Moving towards the extraction chair, Molly sat herself down. Her eyes were heavy with worry and she was sweating profusely. "I know...but i need you to run my DNA....we may have a link to our killer, i'm just hoping that i'm wrong...Run my DNA and see if there's any hits in the system...put a rush on it..." she ordered, a little too hastily. "You could add a please to that..." the tech said before moving to draw a vial of blood from Molly. As soon as the bandage was on the new wound, she was out of the chair and heading back towards the elevator. "Let me know as soon as it gets back..." she called back before the elevator doors shut.

Looking to the police sirens approaching the apartment building, Kyra couldn't help but smirk slightly. They were too late. She may have said that they would be dead by midnight, but she wasn't known for her honesty. The two teens were in the tall grass by the pond. Pulling her hood back up, she leaned against the wall of the coffee shop across the street. Police filed out, tape being wrapped around the area to ward off any nosy neighbors. The building itself was evacuated as they searched for any sign of her. They'd find the room they were in, but not a spec of evidence would be found, just as she had done with the previous scenes. The male teen, though he had gotten a few good hits into her, he paid dearly for his impotence. No one would be able to identify that once pretty face of his. They would only identify him from the sister beside of him. She was quite calm and a good listener.
The bruise on her cheek and her busted lip would be a reminder of that particular killing. As the police made their way to the back of the apartment building, she continued on her walk. Kyra knew what would be her next target. If Miss Cooper couldn't figure it out by now, then she was going to have to put some pressure on. Heading to the detective's apartment building, she scoffed seeing the two police cars in front of the building. Guess they had taken some precautions from her threat. But they couldn't keep her out forever.
