CHAPTER ELEVENJenna Rescue Day It’s like a dream. I sit alone in a small room in what looks like a police station or some kind of government building. Out in the hallway, people walk past in business clothes and uniforms. The authorities take my information and someone brings me a blanket, water, and a tray of food. I’m a bit queasy, so I can’t eat much. A small group stops outside my door to speak to one another. I can’t understand them, but I hear my last name. The door opens and a woman comes in followed by two men. One is wearing a uniform, different from the guards I’m used to, but it looks familiar. The woman walks over to me. “Ms. Marquette,” she says. “My name is Anna Hamilton, and I am a consular advocate from the US Embassy here in Cambodia.” “Cambodia?” I ask. I’m not sure
