A scorpion scurries across the floor and into the other room, catching my attention. I look down at my forearm at the welt from some type of bite or sting. When I first arrived, I would get very ill from these bites, resulting in terrible stomach cramps along with diarrhea and vomiting. My head would throb, and I would feel like I was suffocating.
