CHAPTER 49 Luna Duties

1048 Words

Elara POV I slam my head against the table. I knew being Luna of the Imperial Pack was going to be a challenge, but this feels impossible. Before I arrived, they had done a great job of surviving without contact from the outside world. But if we are going to establish ourselves among the Gemstone Packs, we will have to learn to play nicely with others. "The Gemstone Packs cannot be trusted," Elder Francis growls. I don't lift my head off the table. "If you want to come out of hiding, we are going to have to put ourselves out there." Elder Francis has proven to be my greatest adversary. She questions my every move. She has made it very clear that despite what the rest of pack wants, she would rather remain in hiding. "Elara is right," Alma tries to mediate the situation.
