The tension in the safe room is thick. Cyra and Phoenix keep to themselves on the opposite of the room. Phoenix keeps looking in our direction with a scowl on his face.
I know I should look away from him, but I can't. He looks so much like the triplets, except for his golden eyes. There is no denying who he belongs to.
I should feel jealous or angry that Zeke was given a son by another, but I cannot bring myself to dwell on it. I love Zeke even though he is not my fated mate. I can see how much he cares for the child, and I know I will do anything to protect him.
