Over Camp Meaver Hill, torrential rain fell in torrents. The lake, where a rowing boat was stranded in the center, was bathed in an ethereal glow from a full moon. The night was disturbed by the piercing screams of a small child. As she fell overboard, the wind conveyed her cries for rescue. The cold that raced down my spine was fear. She's in danger of drowning. Mark stepped out of the cabin when the door unexpectedly opened. Looking out at the rowing boat on the lake, his blue eyes surveyed the horizon. As I approached him, he cast a peek over at me. I recognized them as Melissa and Melvin. Fearful of what would happen to our campers, my voice cracked. Melvin cried for assistance. Rain poured down from the sky in a torrential storm all around us. Two small children were stranded.
