Katherine's Secret Identity

CHAPTER 1

        Kath is now 19 years old and on her senior year in high school. She was able to attend in a very prestigious school because of the scholarship granted to her by a NGO program. Kath is a brilliant but quiet shy type of student at the same time a very meticulous student. She hardly trusts anyone and is very observant on her surroundings.

        Her father used to be a leader of a secret group typically like a secret agent. Her father hid his identity as a leader of a gang but the only thing Kath was aware of is that her father was a cop. During her childhood, her father trained her hard with different martial arts. She was able to use her ability in helping others since childhood. She was close with all the members of the gang but unaware about the fact that they were not really a cop but a thug instead. One night her father woke her up and anxiously packed some things and they went out as if they’re trying to escape and hide from someone. While on the run, his father was hit by a car. Her father was able to push Kath on side and survived. Her father died on that incident. After that incident because of the rumors she was informed that her father was working with a gang and not a police officer. That moment she was very confused and lost. Having been informed with the fact that the persons she used to know and trust including the members of the group is not really the kind of persons she believed they were. Since then she gradually accepted the situation and now believes that his father was really a leader of some bad guys. Since then for 5 years, she was living on her own. With strong motivation, Kath decided to look for the culprit of the incident and promise herself that they should be punished. Moving and running to different places due to some debts of her father. Debts not referring to financial but enemies his father had deal with in the past. They keep on looking for something very important that her father had but she has no idea what and where it was.

        Kath is already inside the classroom. It is the first day of the new school year in that school. Students are waiting for their first teacher. While some students are roaming and some are talking about their semester break with their friends, Kath quietly sit on her chair and keep on observing her surroundings.          

        Hi, are you new in here? I don’t think you’re here last school year. Your face seems unfamiliar. A student asked while sitting in the vacant chair beside Kath. She replied with a smile Uh, yeah it’s my first day in this school. Jane is also in her final year in high school, she’s known for being friendly and is quiet talkative. Reaching her hand to Kath, My name’s Jane, and you? Kath reach Jane’s to shake hands and replied, nice meeting you Jane, I’m Kath.  Kath feel comfortable with Jane but obviously it would be hard for her to trust directly. So from where did you come from? Oh I’m sorry I’m very talkative I just want to know you more, you know curiosity kills! Jane told Kath with a cheerful smile. Its okay, well I’m new in the city. I came from countryside Kath answered with a smile. Since you’re new here I can be your guide if you want. Jane offered without any hesitation. 

        Look there, they look on their right side pointing to the lowest row of the chairs referring to a group of friends chatting, that group of friends are well known in our college for being a member of a wealthy family. They were their families’ heirs and heiresses. They have big companies and some are the daughters and sons of big personalities in our country. Pointing to the girl sitting on the desk, that girl, she’s a brat style always getting what she wants very arrogant, her name is Claire.  She’s a daughter of a prime minister. Beside her, that man Jake, he is the son of the CEO of Wooland group of companies, one of the biggest companies in our country. Actually I’m planning to get a job there when I graduate!  Kath is quiet amaze with the background of her classmates. Wow! Good for them! Jane sarcastically replied, what’s good about being them if they have bad personalities!! Eeeish don’t you ever cross your path with them it will only stress you out. I’m not saying I’m scared of them it just that it’s better not to get into trouble but don’t worry I’m here, I’ll always be on your side! Jane sincerely told Kath with a smile. 

        Oh, look at that man. Looking at the entrance door of the room where a man is entering. He’s sooo handsome, he is Sander, and he’s very famous not just in our level but also in the entire campus. Many girls are following him and sad to say he’s quite a snobbish type and I really like that fact not everyone would have a courage to go near him hehe. This made Kath curious, with a cross eyebrows huh? Why? Who is he? Jane proudly replied don’t you dare to ask, his family owns our university. He is the son of our school CEO and the owner. With that look and background, isn’t he soooo cool! Jane giddily said with sparks on her eyes. Kath just smiled and stared at him shortly while Sander is approaching his chair near with Claire’s friends. Claire and Sander have known each other since their grade school days since their parents were both from a group of rich families including other member of Claire’s group.

        Hi Sander! Claire’s greeting to Sander while crossing her left arm to Sander’s right arm. How are uncle and Aunt doing? I really felt bad; I wasn’t able to visit in your villa. They even invited me. I’m really sorry I went to Paris for some reasons. Claire murmured with flirtatious actions. The bell rang!!!

        Before the professor ended her class, while arranging her stuffs and about to exit, Ahhm by the way Miss Hans please see me in my office. She is referring to Kath. The whole class turns their head to Kath while she was responding. Ah okay maam! She shyly replied. She hates being on the center of attention. The class became noisy with different opinions and comments talking to each other’s seat mates is she new?.. she’s not so familiar with me… I don’t know maybe?... duh like who cares…

        sit stiffly on the chair in front of the table of her teacher, Welcome to Sanford University! Ms. Emma, her professor and their advisory class, greeted her while about to sit on her chair. I hope you get along with your schoolmates, if you have extra time you may familiarize yourself here inside the campus. Tour the entire campus and hope you could make many good friends. If you have concerns feel free to approach me okay?   

        While Kath was walking on the hallway Jane suddenly appeared on her right side, it was already lunch time, hey let’s eat together! Can we? Kath just smiled shyly and they head directly to the cafeteria. They are already finished eating when they are about to stand, Kath accidentally bumped to Jake, the son of the CEO of Hopkins. Oh I’m sorry, I’m really really sorry! Kath desperately ask for forgiveness. Claire was approaching them.. What’s happening in here? Oh, you’re the new student, right? Claire stated sarcastically while softly touching the sleeve part of Kath’s shirt. What are you going to do with this (referring to the Jake’s suit) Jane interfered Hey, let’s talk with this calmly okay? It’s just an accident and looking at his clothes it’s not really a big deal it’s just a small amount. Then, Am I talking to you Ms. Jane? Are you her representative? Are you her mom? Huh tell me? Claire stated with an angry voice. Then she sarcastically smiled.. That’s why go away don’t interfere, okay? Kath just keep her head low and keep on saying I’m really sorry, if you let me I can just wash your upper clothes and I’ll just return it. Jake with annoyed look simply said,  Don’t touch me, just leave so annoying!... But Jake? Claire’s opposition. Then Jake and others continued walking out of the cafeteria. Keep this in mind I’ll be watching you clumsy b***h. Kath’s expression change and secretly got angry. In her mind.. “What? Hey you freak, who are you to say that to me arrrgh”. But it is all in her mind and stated instead I’m really sorry for what happen to your friend. And Claire leave bumping Kaths left shoulder.  Whatever, so annoying!!

         Have you found the daughter? Ask by the CEO of a big company and one of those groups who are looking for the mysterious item that Kath’s father hid. Anton is a rich and influential man. Sorry sir we haven’t found her but were thoroughly looking for her answered by one of his men. Thoroughly? Angrily stated, you’ve been saying that everyday don’t waste my money paying your nonsense work!! Bring me that girl in front of me if you don’t want to suffer! Furiously instructed his men while drinking a glass of wine. Yes boss! We’ll look for her! 

        The NGO (Non-government Organization) that has been supporting Kath’s studies also provided a free boarding for her to stay while she’s in the city. She’s staying in the roof top room of an apartment alone.

        Kath is sitting inside the convenient store fronting outside while eating her cup noodles, Dad, how are you? I really miss you! I’m scared dad I don’t know what’s the future ahead of me, I’m scared on those who are after me. They won’t be coming here Dad, right? She quietly talks to herself. 

        After she finished eating when she’s about to leave she saw a piece of paper in the entrance door of that convenient store looking for a part time employee. Should I apply in here, I think the allowance that was provided to me is not enough for other school materials and other needs I need extra income. She went back inside the convenience store and informed the owner that she is willing to fill in the part time employee position. After a while she went out with a cheerful expression on her face while closing her right fist in front of her face saying YES!! 

        While excitedly walking on her way to her apartment she notices that someone is following her. She then takes her walk gradually changing faster and faster and faster. Anxiously she then decided to surprisingly face who’s behind her with a turning back kick thinking it was one of those who are chasing her. “Yaaaah” then she hardly hit the left face of the man behind her with her right foot. But she was very surprise that instead of some bad guy looking man she saw a very weird and nerdy looking man on his jacket and jogging pants. Oh, I’m really sorry I thought your some sort of pervert following me..I’m really sorry! Saying while bowing half of her body to show a sincere apology. Yah!! The man shouted with a crying voice huhuhu I was just walking I’m so shocked that some foot landed on my precious face! saying while touching and robbing his left face with his left hand. I thought your following me, you don’t know how scared I was but I’m really sorry. They then continued walking side by side.  I saw you last Saturday going up at the roof top I think we have the same apartment building, that’s why I decided to just walk behind you thinking we’re going on the same direction. The young man explained while they are walking. By the way I’m Dave saying while asking to shake hands with Kath. Then Kath extends her right hand and shake hands. I’m Kath.  When they already reached their apartment they then separate ways. Nice meeting you Dave and I’m really sorry about earlier. She embarrassedly smiles while saying those words. When Kath was about to go up Dave call her attention by the way that was amazing...Kath was puzzled of what he meant by amazing, I mean the back kick!! They then laugh.

It is a sunny school day and Kath class is having their Physical education class on the field. They were on their P.E pants playing volleyball. On left side of the net is where Kath’s team is together with Jane and on the right side of the net is where Sander’s team together with Claire. And as always Jake is some sort of lazy, trouble maker and snobbish student just sitting in the bench with his minions mysteriously watching the game. Jake I didn’t know you like volleyball we used to not to attend this P.E class. Why are we here in the bench sitting and watching that boring game? Let’s go out and have some fun said Rex who’s sitting beside Jake, one of Jake’s minions. Don’t worry this game will be fun. And let’s have more fun later. Jake replied with a sarcastic smile while starring at Kath.

         While the class is having fun playing volleyball, many students surrounded the field watching the game. Different cheers can be heard around the field. The boys cheering with the campus crush Claire and with more girls cheering for Sander and “BAAANG” with the intense game and a very competitive attitude toward the game, Kath accidentally hit the ball hard and landed on the angelic face of Mr. campus crush Sander.  Huuuh.. Blood! He’s bleeding! Shouted by one of the girl audience,  Oh no he has nose bleed!  They all sharply gaze to Kath and while shouting. Yaah! Claire shouted looking at Kath while holding Sander's right shoulder and arm. The teacher then approaches Sander, are you okay Sander? Don’t worry she will be punished for this. The teacher is obviously siding with Sander knowing he is the CEO’s son. He then shouted to Kath who is near them and is apologizing. I’m really sorry it was not intentional; I didn’t mean to hit him. Without even completely listening to Kath’s apology, Sander just walks out in that field with an annoyed face. Katherine Hans you’ll be detained go to the gym after this and clean the entire gym!

        I told you this game will be fun. Jake again sarcastically said that to his friends who are sitting with him in the bench. They obviously enjoyed the show. Let’s go.  Jake told others while standing up from the bench. Where are we going? Asked by one of them, the fun begins here. They are all curios of what he meant by what he said and followed Jake.

         Kath entered in the gym and started cleaning; she picked up the rags which are scattered on the floor. Oy.. she then looked around to find who’s talking. And on the corner right side facing the front of the gym there she saw Jake with other three students walking near her while slowly clapping his hands. That was a great show, we enjoyed watching it. With a curious face Kath responded, Huh? What are you doing here? What do you mean by show?.. The game ofcourse.. responded by one of the student behind Jake. I knew it. The first time I saw you you’ll bring some fun in this boring school..  then they laugh. Kath is obviously annoyed by them showed by her facial expression. Then Jake stand closer to Kath and whispered to her right ear without moving from where he is standing  DON’T WORRY I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO KNEW THE REAL YOU! Kath was so shocked by hearing those words coming from Jake. Her eyes were opened wide, and she is very speechless. Kath felt very nervous. Her heart was thumping so hard. She has many questions inside her mind. Am I already busted? What am I going to do, what if they’ll find me here? How and why did he know my situation?..
